Thank you for your honesty n respect to the Condor Bushlore. I have a very brief video on My Condors & here & there I show them being used on other videos. I also own many 1095's including a gorgeous & awesome PKS Bushcrafter & I find no difference in how long they hold the edge. Thanks again 👍

I got my Bushlore with it looks like the same scales as the knife in the video. It felt like the finish was a bit dry and not a perfect mate between the scale and steel but still good. So I waxed it several times and really like the results. Any place where water could get behind the scales is fully sealed and the feel is superb I had to come back and edit my post. I didn't mean to be critical of the Bushlore in any way. I got what I paid for that is the important point. I just gave it that little extra that made it that much better for me.

Great video. I love this knife. I have no experience with the mini, though. The Micarta version is a little heftier than the wood one, and I was able to pickup a couple at $41 each.. I would love to get a sheath like yours, but I am really fond of the leather sheath. I would really like to see a 1095 version of this knife and it WOULD be my go to knife for exploring. For me it is a toss-up between this knife and a Becker BK16. Generally, I prefer the Scandi on this awesome blade, but I do like the flat grind on the 1095 Cro-Van Becker. I like that I can get scales replaceable on the Becker, but cannot justify doing it to get Micarta scales when I can get THIS knife for that price. Definitely looking at the Condor 1095 Terrasaur, but I want one with Micarta scales. and the option of a leather sheath. .

Yeah I really wish Condor would be done with 1075 all together. Basically 1095 or 01 would be a good choice for them to go with, I think 1075 is just too easily dulled. That being said, the bushlore really was a great all around blade!

Great video I just ordered one. Maybe I will review it on my channel. That mini one is cute ha ha .

For tropical wood Scandi grind is not the batter choice. If you want to use scandi you have to put a micro bevel on it.

I've been using the bushlore for about 18 months now and have a similar opinion of it. I love the design and ergo's of this little knife but I've had too many issues with the blade chipping and rolling to consider it my primary carry knife. I maintain a true scandi grind on it and it's actually one of the sharpest knives in my collection (scary sharp). However, I have come to the conclusion that 1075 steel with a scandi grind is too soft and delicate for a primary carry knife in my opinion. I still love using it for wood working though.

Yeah I did end up selling mine but overall it's not a bad knife, just came down to preferences for me! Thanks by the way for the views and comment! Truly appreciate it.

Condor needs to seriously lower the minis price point, I dont care for the walnut handle it was to skinny for me. Ive thought about getting the micarta version its supposed to be thicker, I wish the mini came with micarta also. The Bushlore is great knife design but it gives me to much hand and arm fatigue....sounds like the design you did would be awesome.

You are totally right their 1075 is soft, it does pretty good with a convex though. Where do buy your knives at, the Mini is around $49 last I looked and the micarta Bushlore is $59ish. I tell ya man I'm really liking D2, I've never had these tool steel blades its new for me and man its really good stuff. I wish someone would use 5160 to make scandi knives, Ontario's 5160 is really tuff steel. I hit a knot of fatwood with my new Real Steel Bushcraft Plus knife with the 14c28n ...CRAP!!! BIG dent in my edge😑it wasn't the steels fault fatwood is crazy hard as you know. I had to grind her down ...Oh well its stronger now than before but hurting a new knife sucks.

Dang man, yeah that does suck. I got these knives on sale a few years back from KnifeHog I think on a sale. I know, now that they're popular, they're overpriced. I may sell 2 or 3 blades here and look at getting some sort of 01 tool steel blade, I think the track record is sufficient that they're tough and hold a good edge too.
@Airik1111bibles7 жыл бұрын
EdgyReviews Yeah I noticed an instant difference with the D2, the edge is very fine you can make really good flat cuts with out the blade stuttering. I really hope that Mora makes the Garberg with their carbon steel, it will be cool seeing how that kansbol works out for ya. I absolutely love the Garberg and Kansbol handle shape, it is simple but man its very comfortable. I think I'm going to sale a couple blades to buy another Garberg, I like it that much but my other one I convexed a bit more than I should have LOL. Its still awesome but I want a nice new one that I'm not gonna mess with.....I'm guessing you've experienced the same😉

Say Heah, Your a good Daddy, Baby cried, You tended the babies needs, Good in my book. Thanx You. Anyhow, I always wished and posted alot of comments wishing Condor would up-grade the steel, I was hoping for a 1095 CroVan atleast. Although I like their 420HC better too. I have tgeir Wilderness Tool which I really like as my comp knife. But I have a few knives because I like knives. I agree with you for lowering the Drop Point, that's exactly what I had them do to my Battle Horse Attitude. I had the Drop Point Lowered similar to Iz Turley Gasconade with a High Scandi Grind because of the blade thickness, I could get it scary sharp now. Yeah, it's O1, but tempered by Peter's Heat and Treat. They do Outstanding Work, Mine is at 58-59 HRC, and holds a fantastic edge retention. I also had the knife Slightly Curved and I also had a White G-10 Handle put on it. B H did a Fantastic Job, it now looks like a Woodlore except its a 5 1/4" blade and maybe .20" thick. I love it. Infact I posted some of my knives on Google Plus, Your welcome to look.,,.p

Then my Modde Attitude and my 3V Adventure Sworn Guide, and now the (2) new knives I designed and William Collins made, Yeah, Check them out I posted them on my Google Plus.,,.p

Does the blade still chip or did they fix that problem and would you recommend this knife thanks

Actually I'd say this steel rolled much more than anything else, only had 1 chip ever with it and that was from a rock. Thanks for your views man!
