The missionary story reminded me of a similar incident from sometime during my childhood: Black neighborhood, my brother, sister, and I are playing outside (which we honestly rarely got to do). Some white lady comes up and starts talking to us and eventually asks if our parents were home. We thought she was just some new neighbor which was already weird because no other white people lived in the apartment complex. For some reason, we ended up bringing her upstairs where she had a whole conversation with my mom about whatever the fuck she was serving. The whole time, we knew we had fucked up and my mom was clearly trying to get her out of there. When she finally did leave, I just remember my mom being like: "Don't ever bring some random stranger into my house ever again!"

The missionary story got me so good. Pro tip from a former missionary from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints tho, if you don't wanna talk to them, or aren't interested, just say outright you're not interested. Missionaries are so used to it that they won't get upset haha. They most likely appreciate your honesty more than anything. And if they get upset when you say you're not interested, other missionaries probably don't like them much either if I'm honest.

I served a mission myself and so the concept of randomly being invited into someone’s house and then seeing Coney walk in and realize “WAIT WHAT” is very funny Missionaries are obviously just young people with varying interests but are also religious so it would have been funny if one of them was a Smash-fan and recognized you, I and several of my companions would have been one of those kinds of people XD That said, totally chill if you wouldn’t want anything to do with that, whether it be religious mode or Smash fan mode, I imagine both could be pretty odd to walk in to out of nowhere after you come home from work XD So hey, understandable to leave the room or even if you just asked them to leave if you wanted that would also be understandable imo. In my experience, even just being able to talk to nice people about their days, even if they’re like “I don’t care to change religions at all” is still generally a good time. It’s a lot better than people yelling at you telling you you’re trash for such-and-such reason. So I’m sure that those two appreciated your wife’s kindness, even if she only did so out of pity.

2012 Art school. My roommate and a few of the girls nextdoor were obsessed with Homestuck. They would be on Tumblr during all hours with hundreds of porn images on their laptops. I knew it was cringe, but I'm a nice guy so I don't day anything. The dorms are having a Halloween party. The girls dressed up in the shitty gray makeup and horns but the color wasn't right. Everyone called them smurfs at the party. After the party they all came back to my room to complain about it. They sulked and cried for hours.
