Seasoning does not have to mean SALT!!!! Think of alternatives wine, herbs, flavored vinegar, learn to appreciate what onion and properly prepared garlic can do for your food. Go down this path and you will find that in the past you acquired a taste for salt and after changing your cooking habits you will find you really do not like all that salt. The same thing applies with sugar. Our culture over uses salt and sugar.

Previous to this, I cut out caffeine in order to reduce my BP. I started monitoring myself, and my BP went UP for about a week until it said 224/100! I went to my doctor and he said to toss that machine and get one that uses AC power instead. Big difference, like 50 points! The AC power machine read about the same as when the doctor took my BP in his office. But I decided to track and reduce my sodium intake anyway. WOW! I've lost 10 pounds in about 2 weeks (mostly water, I'm sure, but I'm counting it!). My BP has gone down steadily, and I get up way less at night to use the bathroom,

But then as i got older my late grandma lecturing me about eating healthy and start getting your life together and made me understand that yes you lost your mom i get it you are sad and grieving over her lost but you are not alone in this because you still got your family and people who really love you. So she put me on a diet and also my late aunt started cooking healthier foods and because of their motivation to get myself right i Begin to exercise at the park while i was meeting new people. And thats when i found my church family and they helped strengthening my faith in God and i kept my heart,mind,body and soul on the positives and it made me realize is that yes life can be hard but you gotta do whatever it takes to move on just to have peace and have the will power to stay happy,alive and witnessed another day to give the Lord the Praise.

Exactly Dr Frits! I prepare my own food and I don’t eat out more than 6 times a year! I have bad allergic reaction to processed food and sodas! Have to eat Whole Foods with no salt or sugar. Some fruits have pesticides that Brother me especially cherries.

In short, start cooking your own food, especially if you’re older. And consider using no-sodium salt substitutes like potassium chloride.

Your very right. In all my meals per day. I incorporate a food source with potassium . Potassium is great for water retention and extracting salt from the body . Good for bloating and having a ph levels balanced.
@carlleeallen23733 жыл бұрын
That should be with a doctor's recommendations. Some people can't change because of health reasons. They just need to cut back on salt or sodium and stay away from most processed foods... Less is more. Fresh is best. Have a Happy and BLESSED DAY... Heart Smart. 💙❤💜✨🌹🌼🌺🌸🦋🕊🎍😊

Doctor Frita makes me feel so good to be black . So often black people are given the titles of unfavorable things . I would like to see more people like Dr. Frita on News stations . You mostly see black people on channel 7 news , Channel 10 news , Cnn, and Fox reporting violent crimes committed by blacks. Thank you Dr. Frita for being a beacon of hope for our little brown boys and girls .

They should be teaching all of this to teenagers in high school, but they don't. When. I was in high school, the cafeteria had all the worst high sodium foods like cheese burgers, French fries, and pizza. It's an epidemic out there.

I am trying to cut back on my sodium and it is a struggle but I continue to try. I have found out that mixing lemon juice and vinegar helps to give me a near salt taste and I'm learning to enjoy cooking my meats that way

Try cooking with garlic, onions, herbs and wine, flavored vinegars....I guarantee you will not miss salt.

Thank you especially for mentioning fried chicken. Now people who cook it every Sunday may understand why they are so sick. In addition to all the weight it can pack on you, it can also cause hypertension. Please also note the calories contained in cheese. That's why macaroni and cheese is not a wise food choice, or at least eat on small portion.very rarely.

Thank you for watching. The pink salt does have some minerals that may be beneficial, but it still does have a high sodium content. I am not saying that you cannot ever eat bread, but everything must be done in moderation. Knowledge is power. Be well.

@@DrFrita I cant speak for anyone else, but I don't have issues with high blood pressure because I put a pench of celtic sea salt or pink Himalayas salt on my tongue every other day. I was told by a doctor that your cells need salt and water to live. One of the reasons your pressure is up because your body isn't getting the salt it needs. I do agree with your video that most people get to much of the bad salts. But you need a little bit of to keep you from getting HBP. It's been working for me.
