This was back in 2003 and cost of my build was around 60k which included purchase price of my car. WRX was only 23k back than. I've made 607 awhp at 8600 RPM and 488 tq at 5200 RPM. The point is just my trans upgrade and it was sequential trans, that alone was 11k. Now the tech is advanced enough to the point, just a few dollars can, you can convert any trans into sequential trans. To me, that is fricken amazing.

@Golith147 жыл бұрын
Because it's inside of the housing. Lol. It's not that hard. It's all direct bolt on. If it was electronically switched, they wouldn't need a shifter. That housing would be a lot larger if it had electronics in it.

Too many negative comments in here. To make this worth it, you need a device that will kill ignition for milliseconds to allow for full clutchless upshifts and it must also blip the throttle to allow for downshifts. The ONLY way to go about this without ruining your synchros is to eliminate them and go faceplated! Im a die hard manual guy will never go automatic but the benefits of this style of shifting makes a manually shifted CLUTCH car far better than any auto when it comes to racing. You get the instant no slip shifts of a clutch between gear utilizing 100% of your cars power (rather than losing power through a tq converter) AND you get the ability to slip the clutch off the line to make for a good launch.

Sadly, yes...alot of the young here cant drive a stick, or just dont want to....this doesnt help. Me? I had to learn to drive on one, before I ever even drove an auto, but I am an old fart. I guess "all of you" are just so much cooler than "all of us", is that your point??

Can't skip gears, plus sometimes there is no time to be looking at a gauge to see what gear you are in, you know like when you are screwing around and the next thing ya know yer combin'n corn. Probably be great for drag racing.

I think the next step would be to do a air assited air mechanisms to push the cluch in and out through the use of the leaver . The only time to use the cluch manulally with your foot would be on take off .

This is kinda like my V-gate 4 speed on a toploader. Been around for 40 years . Very cool however. If you use strait cut gears even better and with a coil interrupt you we could have a SMG for a fraction of a EMCO or Quaffe. Just a thought ...

You will most likely need a gear indicator otherwise you will frequently loose track of which gear you are in unless you are very focused on that or perhaps you get used to it but all racecars have this indicator. On a H-I pattern it doesn't happen.

That work with any H pattern transmission?
@KnightDriveTV7 жыл бұрын
I've been talking with a company in Aus for some time, who also was developing a shifter like this. Any solution on the C5/C6 Corvette due to the mounting location of the transmission? If I am getting this right, it appears we could mount the main assembly to the trans then run the cable forward to the cabin?

The tech is amazing, the fact that the title says an H-Pattern is boring deserves a thumbs down.

I could see this working great if you are a casual dragster/drift/track guy using your daily driver. Or if you just like the look of it Nice product though
