Cooking AUTHENTIC GHANA EKUEGBEEMIN \ AKWEGBEMI|| crashed hominy corn porridge|| fine CREAMY GRITS
There are two types of corn grits OR hominy corn, the fine grits (Akwegbemi) and the coarse grits (Oblayo). Today we make the coarse grits (Oblayo), one of the Ghanaian dishes commonly taken as breakfast. It goes very well as lunch too.

It's like Grits we cook in the U.S. We add butter and salt. No flour. Some people use sugar also. Very good. Nice video. Eat up.

Porridge is my favorite. Jamaican’s have cornmeal, oats and hominy porridges as well. Soaking the cornmeal first is a pro tip. Yes!

@Tatiana Haina, funny story among Black Americans there's a huge debate over savory (salt, pepper butter) vs sweet (sugar or honey & butter) grits. We play argue and tease each other like you guys do with Nigerians over which jollof is better. I'm team savory grits with paprika and cheese.. 😉🤣😅

As a Jamaican we eat hominy corn porridge too but the corn is whole and we boil it down we dont add flour though it thickens up on its own. I don’t like mine too chunky so i blend half. We use condensed milk in most of our porridge recipes too..porridge is so gd though and so many different kinds.

Girl you better eat what you want when you want; your body, your channel. This porridge looks devine. Tati you keep saying rice, do you mean corn? Do you guys eat other things with this? It looks great by itself and honestly there flakes are endless you could incorporate but do y'all ever eat meat or other things with it? Hello sister Ajara (spelled correctly??) it's nice seeing you. You're truly enjoyable you watch on video.

Taty! Your KZbin productions are done so extremely well💥💥💥! You should be winning the Ghana KZbin awards and will be sweeping all categories👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾! Not surprised your subscriber base continues to grow. Al last check you are at 53.6K and moving. Road to 60K here we come!!! Yes yes yes I recall ekuegbeemi very well😋😋😋. It is a yummy breakfast food with a corn base which is healthy. But I had to always ply mine with sugar and milk, which too much of is not as good🍽️. Boarding school introduced me to it. Seriously, is there anything Sister Ajara cannot cook? She is amazing and we are always here for it all. Tell her to keep up the good work. So so impressive! I ever visit Sunyani no restaurant for me, and it will be Sister Ajara all the way. She is da bomb💣💣💣!!! Love love seeing her a screen❤️❤️❤️! Content is awesome, and keep it coming!
