Boats are very different in that they have costs that you wouldn’t expect. For example that boat would be to big to move (length/height) so you’d need a trucking company with special permits to move it, which becomes expensive. So in turn with that it becomes a boat that requires to be docked unless you want to spend special permits every time you move it you’ll need to spend money for a docking and storage fee for your boat which can get in the thousands a month depending on location. Secondly are you ready to drop a grand in fuel every time you use it? Third boat are money pits, no one makes money off of boats except dealers and mechanics. All boats depreciate dramatically once sold. That $200k yacht is probably worth maybe 90k now. You could spend $30k in cost and repairs very quickly. Raise your hand if you want to spend $200 every year just to flush the fuel tank. Because of all those things I’ve listed you’re looking at a small market of interested buyers. So no I wouldn’t buy the boat, it’s beautiful but an expensive hobby when you get into yachts.

Don’t get your hopes up too high lol. I brought a Lamborghini Lp640 from copart years ago, this thing had so many hidden issues. Even though it was run and drive it had a bad engine, bad clutch, hidden flood damage, and electrical problems; It would have cost a fortune to fix it properly and I have a in-house mechanic. I took it back to copart and sold it for 3K less than I paid for it. I ended up buying a clean one from another auction with a clean title for 30K more. Most of this crap at these auctions are junk.

My list: • GTR: ✓ The GTR seems like it only needs a door panel, which shouldn't be that hard to get. It's a clean title, and has at least 1.5k done in mods, it's a huge profit. • Gallardo: ✓ Great deal, good condition. • F-TYPE: ✓ Clean F-TYPE with no body work issues at all in a gorgeous Orange. • Boat: ✓ If you get a 2 reliable engines / motors for 10-15k and drop them in and they work properly, you can easily resell it for about 125k.

I’m in the insurance business and some insurance carriers are declining to insure vehicles with salvage titles. In the past they would charge you like it was a normal vehicle but at claim time they would pay only around 60% because it was salvage. This made a lot of people unhappy that they paid full price for the insurance but got a fraction so some carriers just are avoiding the headache by not insuring them.

Always have to keep in mind that if its a Copart that means multiple professionals have written it off as not worth repairing anymore. Thats proper OEM and Authorized service center or Body shops. You can get some good deals or you can get screwed

Ruben True, however I purchased numerous vehicles from copart and never had issues. I purchased used parts, and repaired some. When insurance companies do the estimates they estimate with NEW Factory OEM parts prices, for example, my 2016 Scion FRS the appraisal said $1200 for new hood and paint and I purchased a used one for $300 that was painted.

Yea, try finding a pen for that yacht tho.. most marinas have a 1 or 2 year waiting list. plus a boat on average costs 10% of the new price each year to maintain. Most cities won't let you live on your yacht either (issues with effluent being flushed into waterways, whether you do or don't)

Ruben that isn’t the correct way to go about it. The Audi S6 had the same V10 as the Gallardo. Literally drops right in. Pick up one of those with relatively low miles for very cheap. Always a way, man.

Corvette - a cracked frame is much more than a trivial problem. Unless the repair is PERFECT you're losing crash safety and likely to get alignment and vibration issues. The boat is worth between 95 and 130 grand as a usable product. Plenty of them on boats.com - You'll probably drop at least double the cost of the engines on having it hauled out and them swapped over. I'm not sure it's quite the bargain it appears. Nothing ever is.

Billy Masoner Some states Issue a Rebuilt title instead of a Salvage title if the vehicle is 10 years or older. When I buy cars 10 years or older from copart I don’t have to do salvage inspection or anything.

No, goon squad repairs their own vehicles so if you’re an average customer buying a $32,000 f..up corvette without the entire front and hood, it’s going to cost you parts plus labor and that could easily be more expensive than what it would have been used at 900 miles.
