This is the first time I’ve seen someone make corned beef hash from scratch that looks like the can! I love the canned stuff but want to make a fresh version. Can’t wait to try this recipe!

So expensive to buy fresh but its got to be better than canned hash. Just tried thus recipe & its great. Added green & red peppers ... delicious 😋
@KeilaET3 жыл бұрын
@@jamesgallego1542 I have yet to try this recipe. I love the way canned ones taste but I haven’t gotten to find out if the recipe is an elevated version of canned. This comment reminded me to make this recipe! Hopefully I can make it soon
@jamesgallego15423 жыл бұрын
@@KeilaET the video says to add salt, pepper & paprika to taste. I left it all out & let my family add it on their own as they served themselves. Also, the fresh corned beef has a lot of fat which I removed. I used a slow cooker on high for 6hrs & refrigerated it overnite. The food processor worked perfectly while I boiled the potatoes. After sautéing the gree/red peppers & onions it all came together quickly! Im sure you'll be happy with the recipie.

@@KeilaET made it yet? I just tried canned or any version of it tonight...for the very first time. It was pretty good

@@robs5579 omg no I haven’t. I’m gonna put corned beef on my shopping list right now. Also I can’t believe you’ve never had it before! I love that stuff but my dad is always saying how unhealthy it is so I just have it occasionally

I'm a hash fanatic. Growing up corned beef hash was my favorite food on weekends when my mom would make it. That looks outstanding :)

I've made it with corned beef, roast beef, chorizo and I'm going to try a pork tenderloin hash tonight. My husband loves the stuff in a can but I'm watching his tummy and trying to keep his weight regulated. He loved the roast beef and the chorizo hash so I'm hoping he'll like the pork. I looked for "hash" on KZbin but have to be more specific because I got "the green stuff", lol.

This is one of many dishes my grandmother made and it was from scratch. This is how I learned to cook. Nothing I make comes out of a box unless I am extremely busy but I would say 99% of food that I prepare is from scratch. My family is very spoiled. When my grandmother made hash it was fried in a cast-iron skillet, not on a grill. Coming from the east coast, hash was a winter food as was baked beans and beef stew and all these foods were cooked inside on a stove.

Absolutely insane! I can taste it. Could not be more envious of that griddle set up. That makes all the difference. I’ve never ground my corned beef down that small before but I can see how they would all end up as tiny crispy crumbles. I don’t have your cooktop but I have all the ingredients!
