Don’t be fooled. He had to practice that but it can be done. I got mine 2 days ago. That was if the first thing I tried, lol. It does have a better balance than the Ibanez 805SC. But I like the Ibanez neck better. They both have the MK1’s. I also like the B string better on the Ibanez. Cort makes some great instruments though. I love my GB74 GIG. Student for Life!

Great demo, Nathan! Looks very similar to the Ibanez SRSC805, with a lot of similar specs as well, though I kinda like this bass' look a little more. But honestly at the price they're asking I'd prefer a slightly higher quality preamp than the mk1 preamp, maybe the NTMB-F or something of that nature, that mk1 preamp is definitely the weakest point of the bass. Like I legit think it sound better in passive mode than in active mode, active just seems too scooped and twangy regardless of how you tweak it. Oh and for anyone who owns an Ibanez before production moved to indonesia, if you look at the back of your bass and the serial number starts with " C " .. guess what, made in korea by Cort! so technically I have two Cort basses already :D
@leedodson31362 жыл бұрын
But with the 805 the balance is not the greatest due to the pin being between the 13 & 14 fret leading to neck dive. The Cort’s pin is between the 12th & 13th fret which I’m hoping for a better balance. FYI, My serial # starts with I. Thanks for the info. 👍

@@jesusconcristo Thanks for the reply. Yeah I saw one video by Milko Lippe. I’ve had a few conversations with him. Anyway it’s being shipped as we speak. They said they would make sure the B string was intonated & the neck was fully adjustable. We’ll see! 👍
@leedodson31362 жыл бұрын
So I received the bass. The B string 12th fret is intonated. But above the 12th fret it’s buzzing and not very audible. I’m sure it could be fixed. I’m thinking about sending my back. The neck although very nice is a little to chunky for me. I’m older & have arthritis in both hands which I guess is better than carpal tunnel in both hands/wrist. 😂😂

Nate. Did you have any problems getting that B string intonated? I've run across about 4 of these basses and could not get the B string intonated properly. Almost like the bridge wasn't mounted far enough back, or saddle just had no more run way on bridge platform to get B string in tune at 12th or 24th frets, although B string was in tune open string.

@leedodson31362 жыл бұрын
Exactly! How much does it way. That’s the big unknown. Companies don’t like talking about the weight of their instruments. Although the same style bass does vary. A ballpark figure would be nice. Even those who do reviews, it seems to be taboo. 🤷
