I actually like Peter’s motivation being revenge at first, and I think the fact that it feels wrong was done on purpose, so that we can see Peter turn into the Spiderman we all know
@captainflowers748 Жыл бұрын
I personally think the suit itself should evolve as Peter becomes more like Spider-Man the Hero and not Spider-Man the Anti-Hero. I like his costume as he began to search for the killer, he's more of a Spider-Man the Anti-Hero, I like the concept. But as he progresses in his search, he starts to become more and more heroic and changes and upgrades his attire to reflect until he truly becomes Spider-Man. This movie just flat out gives him the suit because ehhh?

And marcus making it seem like this is a huge sin is weird to me, since Peter's inital use of his powers after Ben dies is to chase down the guy who killed Ben seeking revenge. Granted in the comic and in the raimi movies it happens way quicker than TASM, but it still happens. I have no issue with peter's motivations at first, just as long as he doesn't stay that way, and he doesnt so whats the issue here?

@junaydfisher2113 жыл бұрын
@@dingledoodles2615 when you choose to look at it technically, yeah maybe some people may have gotten injured or even killed, but that's clearly not what's happening in the movie, it's not acknowledged in the movie, it's not something that actually happens in the movie and it plays no way into the plot of the movie. One of the best parts of Spider-Man is the joking and banter he has while wearing the costume, he's supposed to feel more confident and he does it get a reaction out of the villains, if they get riled up they become more irrational. When Spider-Man fought morlunn he kept making jokes, but he never responded back and it made him worried as it meant the villain felt nothing and was extremely focused on killing Peter. And if I recall correctly, Spider-Man homecoming starts out with Spider-Man joking the entire time while fighting people who are robbing an ATM, and it results in an entire building being blown up, and it resulted in a shopkeeper being injured and his entire business and home being destroyed. That doesn't very heroic or responsible now does it? 🤔 the same thing has been done with literally every on screen live action iteration of batman, he's pushing people off buildings, strapping bombs to people, using guns, driving people over, in the dark knight trilogy he even refuses to save ra's al ghul and Talia al ghul, and for batman it's worse because his number one rule is not killing people, but most of the killing is not intentional for the plot and the ones that are intentional make for good scenes and can be overlooked because the movies are still great overall.

Not only have I seen TASM2 up to three times now and keep forgetting that the secret-train-reveal scene even happens, every time I watch Gwen's death, I just remember that it wasn't as impactful as I keep imagining it was. What we got was a slow, drawn-out sequence shaking us and yelling "She's gonna die! She's gonna die!". What I remember in my head is complete and utter silence as she falls at a relatively realistic speed, before a sickening thud/snap sound as the rest of the scene finishes normally. My imagination made a better movie, and I was maybe 13 when I first saw it.

I had to pause the video and laugh at that part (and when Peter starts drawing the Spider-Man mask on graph paper, *JUST LIKE IN THAT OTHER FILM* ) This was supposed to be a new take on Spider-Man, right? So why did they copy those two things exactly as they happened in the Raimi film????? It's so weird

I never understood in the logic of the film why Spider-Man didn't just give Harry a blood sample. I mean, it either works and Harry lives, or it doesn't. Unless I missed an explanation within the film, it seems there is no reason for Spider-Man not to do this.
@alexgomorykeisler38008 ай бұрын
I like Nostalgia Critic's theory. His theory is that the scene in which Peter went to the subway and discovered A) that Oscorp wanted to weaponize his dad's research, and B) that the only reason the spider bite worked on him was that it had been made with his dad's DNA, was originally going to be BEFORE the scene in which he denied his blood to Harry. Because in that scenario, he has a reason to distrust anyone from Oscorp, plus he knows for a fact that it wouldn't work on Harry. But the script got chopped up and the final product makes less sense.

@@phevdev I'm not totally sure, Peter is just a normal dude so I think that in the certain circumstances this could happen, it's like that time in the comics when he tried to remove his own powers because he didn't wanted the responsibility of being Spider-Man anymore but he just ended up getting 4 extra arms. I feel like if pushed to the limit he can end up doing anything even if it's totally against what he believes, like that time when he was so enraged that he ripped off someone's face by sticking his hand to it. Like I've seen some people complaining about Far From Home because Peter wanted to go on a vacation because he was stressed, but knowing how Peter acts when someone dies around him it's pretty understandable, like he is the kind of guy who blames himself for the deaths of everyone who dies around him, that thinks that he isn't good enough, like some time ago when J. Jonah Jameson's wife died and he couldn't stop it, he was really depressed, then he had nightmare where he all his insecurities appeared in front of him, it's similar to Mysterio's illusion sequence in Far From Home, also just like in the movie his Spider Sense was going off, also in the movie when Peter was making his new suit you can see in the display the suit that he made in the comics when his Spider Sense was going off, it's called Spider-Armor MK-2 and it's bullet proof, now while writing this I just realized that Far From Home is more comic accurate than I thought. Anyway I think you get it, if pushed to his limits Peter can do anything even if it's against his own beliefs, I think that this actually makes him a better character.

It's only really meant to be used to make even change, not supply a deficiency. So if milk costs, $2.41 and a customer has $2.50, they can take a penny to get $0.10 back. It's not really meant for the customer who only had $2.40. But no clerk would or should ever care. @diogomarques92283 жыл бұрын
Yes harry was so good in spider man trilogy and was so bad in this for me the worst thing of tasm 2 its harry i hate this harry so much , i actually like to show something about spider-man parents because they never show us nothing, uncle ben the death its great in sam raimi, its weird in here, in tom holland spider man uncle ben never appears, harry dont appears, gwen and mary jane doesn t exist, its nice to have new characters like ned and mariah jones like mariah jones after j.jonah jameson in sam raimi trilogy its probably the funniest character of spider man dont including spider man himself, the problem with asm its they ruined harry, and electro storyline was bad, and the problem with mcu spider man is they ignore harry,uncle ben, mary jane/gwen stacy thats why spider man trilogy yes including the third one its the best spider man films Spider man 2 Spider man Spider man 3 Spider man far from home Spider man homecoming The amazing spider man The amazing spider man 2

Emma Stone looks too old to play Gwen Stacy in this movie
@jeebus23133 жыл бұрын
One thing (among many) I always found dumb with the second movie was the whole thing with Harry. In the Raimi movies his antagonistic relationship with Spidey and eventually Peter himself was built up over *three movies* before he finally took up the Goblin mantle for himself. In TASM on the other hand, we didn't even know he existed in this version of the story and there was no mention of him whatsoever in the first movie. Then he just shows up in the second movie out of nowhere, has one scene where he gets angry at Spider-Man and then becomes the bad guy for the last...10 minutes of the movie.

well in defense, we see norman osborn in the first movie which we can assume harry is already in the universe just not yet because the first movie focuses a lot on peter. I think the problem was like u state, he already becomes goblin which i can say is just rushed.

I knew where the story was going... I knew her outfit and te set-up spelled her doom... I knew walking into the theater that the rumour was that Gwen Stacy was dying today. I was so nervous about it... But I really wanted them to say "NOT THIS TIME. Just this once, she gets to live. Spider-Man gets one break." ...Just, when Gwen Stacy died, I felt Peter die with her. I felt the deep, immense, unshakeable grief that lasted for days and days... The rest of the movie didn't even matter. Gwen and Peter had a life in front of them. She was supposed to make it.
