It makes me sick to hear that this family was denied adopting Harmony! Clearly, Adam only envoke his parental rights for the money they were receiving for her. Someone needs to investigate the judge in this case and review all of the other cases associated with this judge!!!!!

@@Galaxie08 That judge has blood on his hands and karma will come around for him. I'm sure he saw that Adam had a lengthy criminal record, including domestic violence, probably a history of drug use (both him and the stepmom) and he probably wasn't even working at the time he wanted Harmony. How could Adam have been considered a fit parent?

It's heartbreaking, knowing the life harmony could've and should've had with these adoptive parents. When are we going to hold CPS and the courts accountable for endangering children? I can only assume when we see the sweet pictures of harmony dressed up nicely came from when she was in foster care, because clearly, this is not happening with either of her biological parents when they had her.

My cousin was adopting a baby boy just before the final papers were to be signed, his father claimed him. He was in jail at the time he was given up for adoption. Even though the mother claimed he was not the father the authorities made them hand him back to him. It broke their heart, but worse was to come. Weeks later, he was found in a rubbish pile. He had been thrown away it was a miracle he was still alive when found. Sadly, he lost his brave fight 3 weeks later. An innocent baby lost his life because the authorities wanted to give the father another chance. How many chances should a violent convicted felon be given? 😢💔 I’m so sorry for your loss no amount of words can take the pain away 😪

The social services agencies involved here are as much responsible for Harmony's death as her so-called "father." Instead, she was kept with her abuser, her monstrous murderer. Did no one ever investigate? Is there no follow-up with these cases? This tragic situation makes me wonder if anyone in social services is actually doing their job. Why are they getting paid for their dangerous incompetence?
@julybliss4440 Жыл бұрын
It seems not. I know my daughter and I suffered from there incompetence and inability in different state. And hear so many different state to state stories of bad agencies. It seems much worse also because there's no way to find public complaints or lawsuits because it's harder to take legal action against them than it is cops.

Homeless people don't have bathrooms easily available to them. I think Harmony was literally afraid to say that she needed to use the bathroom because she knew that it would make her father angry... so she just kept quiet and dirtied herself. He was abusing her ever since he got custody of her, so her death was just the culmination of that relationship. He hit her so hard that he forced shards of her facial bone into her brain. That's what killed her in the 20 minutes that they realized she was dead from being hit. Medical intervention wouldn't have been able to save her, and Adam knew that he'd end up in jail for it, then. That's why he went to such extent to hide it. Kayla should have reported it, but when you're with someone who is violent, and think you're going to end up with the violence being inflicted upon you, for intervening on the child he's abusing, or he's going to start abusing the biological children you have with him, instead of his own child whom he hates because of his past relationship with her mother... psychological damage all the way around. No excuses, but that's what it is. This case was a 'perfect storm' of dysfunctional relationships that Harmony fell into. An innocent victim of society's malfunctions.
@thia41012 Жыл бұрын
Kayla is no better than he is. What kind of person would rather watch a defenseless child be beaten to death than step in? I can promise you she would have had a much better shot of getting out of it than that baby did.
@MissPreciousLove Жыл бұрын
Kayla never said anything, for 2 reasons... 1. She didn’t want Harmony; she wasn’t her/their child, and she was an intrusion in “their family”. However, by having Harmony, they received additional benefits which meant less money spent on basic necessities and more that could be spent on drugs. Which brings me to reason #2... she never said or did anything because Adam was the one who committed crimes to provide drugs (and a lot of them) for the 2 of them. They didn’t simply use so that they wouldn’t get sick, and could still somewhat function; nor did they just use when the children were asleep, or not around, so as to lessen their exposure. They used as much as they could and as often as they could, regardless of the well-being or impact on the children; and obviously, regardless of how much torture Harmony had to endure. It’s one thing that she didn’t say anything after Harmony had died, or that she continued to collect food stamps for Harmony (I like to think that the other children at least had enough to eat, because of it). But to not say or do anything, when a little girl is being punched, repeatedly, on multiple occasions is inexcusable. She is just as bad as Adam! If it were me, and I think most would agree, I would have done everything possible to stop it... even if that meant I died trying.
