It was more about them being ARROGANT hillbillies. Yea there both likely bigots but this is about familiarity breeding contempt and absolute power corrupting, absolutely. Probably more about good ole boys thinking they are the law and lesser but for sure they looked at the "colored boy" (im using there probable pov lol. Im a minority myself and truly understand and have felt racism at its worst which made me truly accepting of anyone regardless of race so long as they have it were it counts and thats in ❤️) and his race factored into there resolve.

This was not a racially motivated killing (manslaughter, not murder). They wanted to document the suspect, Arbery. The McM's saw themselves as vigilantes for neighborhood justice. They brought the weapons to scare and be prepared in case Arbery had a weapon, which they had reasonable suspicion of. And, yes, the McM's have time to serve. It was not a 'clear cut' murder, but may be treated as such. More so a 'manslaughter', although that may not be allowed due to the extremeness of the case. It was a botched citizen's arrest which was reasonable for the circumstances, per as the story-time-line on the case indicates.

@ivory phillips - 100% wrong (see my response to your other post). For everyone else, here's the synopsis: The laws do not allow you to chase after someone, point weapons at them, provoke a confrontation, and then shoot them because they grab your gun. Self defense does not apply when you provoke and threaten. Abrey had every right to use lethal force against his two armed assailants.

They regret the tragedy/death happened.

@@bonsummers2657 have you ever taken a concealed carry class? Clearly not. This was 1000% a “Bad Shoot”. They have to prove that they all “feared for their lives” That goes out the window as soon as you give chase. If the threat is retreating you cannot shoot them in self defense, because when they are retreating, they are NO LONGER A THREAT! The police can, but only if they can prove that the person would be an immediate and obvious danger to the community if he were to escape. @@bonsummers2657 Why take so much time to write such garbage. I know I’m commenting after the verdict, but it’s its interesting to read such comments on here of so many people who either just makes things up (such as you did) or you received disinformation on such a regular basis that you’re not even aware of it. Not only did they not have a reasonable suspicion of him being armed it was in fact a clear cut murder. They didn’t even have the minimum requirement of a citizen’s arrest, because that would require you to witness a felony which they didn’t. Not only did they not witness a felony it turns out that nothing was ever stolen from the house per Larry English who is the owner of the property! This was such an egregious miscarriage of justice by not arresting these pair that the prosecutor was indicted. Which never ever happens no matter how poor of a decision they make. Just goes to show you how ridiculously clear cut murder this was if you exclude all of the other garbage, mental gymnastics and attempts to justify what we all were able to see with our own eyes.

He has no reason to lie. If anything he probably would've lied and said that something was stolen. And, to make a citizen's arrested you have to witness a crime that day. No crime was committed by Ahmed Aubery. And, that wasn't even their property to begin with. You can carry your gun, but what you can't do is hunt someone down in a vehicle, have your gun drawn (shotgun), then claim self-defense when a person tries to defend themselves when they clearly knows they're being hunted down to be slaughtered.
