@Trouble-ClefАй бұрын
I still think it should have been 1st degree murder. He said repeatedly that he could not breath so she knew he’d die in there if she didn’t get him out and yet she left him in there. And you can even hear him go silent, and she didn’t let him out. And then she went to bed!! That tells me she wanted him to die and thats first-degree murder. It only takes seconds to form intent but I guess the prosecution must have thought they’d have trouble proving that she meant for him to die. And at least it’s not manslaughter.
@Lokisdottir1964Ай бұрын
I see where you can argue that but I don't think she thought he could die in there. I think she thought she would "teach him a lesson" as she said at one point during her interviews. I think 2nd degree is appropriate.
@saraha5847Ай бұрын
@@Lokisdottir1964I agree 🙌
@WinnieTheTrainАй бұрын
I think there was room for 1st degree too. She sent a text saying she would get rid of Jorge. That shows a plan in the future. You can also bet when she ambushed and zipped the suitcase up she already knew she wasn't going to let him back out. The only evidence we would need is did Jorge really try to hide like some fool in there or did she command him to get in the suitcase? From watching the videos they played in court, I actually believe this wasn't hide in seek, she probably told him to get in there and knew she would zip it once he did. She already admitted to state after her testimony that everything she said at the police station was a lie and I bet hide n seek was a lie too now seeing how she commanded him around in the videos and controlled him and lead him in apologies and other videos talking about her. He was nothing more than a submissive play pet for her entertainment and to boss around and vent on when needed. The only truth she spoke was when she claimed in a video she don't like him after he told her he loved her and that she despises him. This is after her being awaken from him being drunk and cradled against a door. So she said this with a sober state of kind sharply.
@WinnieTheTrainАй бұрын
@@Lokisdottir1964 you are a real moron. She knew he would die.... She wasn't gonna let him back out of that suitcase ever. She probably poked the suitcase after she woke up to see if he would make any noises or say anything to her and I bet if he had she wouldn't have opened it. Either way she could care less if he died or not in there and that was pretty clear to see.
@annahgibbus8Ай бұрын
@@WinnieTheTrain I agree she knew he'd suffocate. I don't believe for one minute it was a game. She had total control over him. She either coerced him or forced him & I'm betting she was encouraging heavy drinking & kept filling his wine glass so he'd be extra docile & controllable. She deserves "old smokey" IMO. Her defense lawyer was driving me nuts because all the battered spouse/partner character traits were what he had not her! After all she's the one who said "she's best at everything". She actually thought she'd walk totally free after the interrogation. That backfired. So then she thought because of all her former DV calls to the police her paper trail she could convince the jury that she was the victim.
