That 5-spd is better than a car alarm. Most of the thieves out there today have no idea how to drive a stick. 😂

Been thinking and planning for a year now. Your build has inspired me to do a similar build on my just finished Ford F150 all aluminum 7 foot by 8 foot flatbed. I may do a 14 inch cab over extension but I really like “cozy”, like you. I will never be having more than one traveling guest, so a 7x8 foot camper will be just right. I am a furniture maker, so this one will be a great fun creative build for me. Thanks for sharing. You did a great job. Simply beautiful use and creativity using wood.

This is so cool! Beautiful wood inside and out and really does feel like a cozy cabin. One tiny suggestion, and you may have already done this. Attach a piece of thin, flat, black weather stripping across the bottom of your door to keep out wind and insects. It goes on the outside and will seal against the tailgate when you close the door. It is out of the way on the outside and shouldn't prevent you from opening the tailgate with the door closed. This is a beautiful well designed and well built camper.

This is one of the best micro cabins I've seen. I like your color scheme. Thanks for sharing your construction video. P.S. if you can build that cabin, you can do wonders with some bondo on your rusted body. Then you could trim it our in wood or paint to look like wood. I would only use a buddy heater as a last resort. A down sleeping bag and a 12 volt electric blanket or just a heating pad would take you thru a lot of chilly nights. I would recommend a mounting step for getting on horses that you can buy at an agricultural store or tack shop. They are 2 step and 3 step, compact made of plastic and very strong and come in dark green. Can toss it inside while driving then easy to set up at your entrance when you are at your camp site.

Beautiful cabin and your wood working skills are admirable! Just a thought you could place your Buddy heater at the back where your cook stove is sitting it appears you have plenty of space and not have to worry about you bed cover touching it. I camped for many years in a 10' X 14' canvas tent and used a Big Buddy heater and not once had any issues and I survived!

Beautiful!!!!🎉🎉🎉 WELL done!!!!🎉🎉🎉 I really love the woodsy and cabin look and feel and coziness of it!! Well set up!! Well decorated!! Esp for a man!! And u do great wood art to!! That 3d wood pic U did is like WOW!!! UUURRR TALENTED DUDE!!! I was glad to see notice the self made but not like set in installed windows that r self made and just open from the outside! Hinged on! And just latch it shut! I am doing my own diy TC Bld and I had ran out of wood and wound up with this perfect size window square in an area that I planned to put a window later on!? So I had been looking at the window size hole and thinking 🤔 U know I already have this window size hole already there!? And so why not just make that window size hole my window!? I could probably take some scrap wood and get a piece of glass orrr Plexi?? From Lowes!? Etc...and hand make my own little window to fit that hole already there and just make it hinge outside and open out!!?? Nowww??? DO I wanna make it open up??? Dn??? TO the side? If I do open it to the side it ust open back to the left... as I have a center stud rt there on the rt of it!? And the way it is I'd have to open back to the left!? And urs opens back to the left and is EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING OF DOING AND MAKING!!! AND SEEING IT ALREADY DONE ON URS MAKES ME GO YAAAAA THATTT IS DEF.....WHAT I WANNA DO!!!! Still debating in me head which way I want it to go up dn or back to the left? But seeing urs to the left or side makes me know hey U don't just got up or dn u cannn do it to fold back to the left!? I had liked the up position with a prop up or with some little gas arms to hold it up so that way not only is it open and out and up but it also serves as kind of a shelter to the window hole should it come a rain or just be doing a light rain!? If it's not like pouring dn I could one could open it UP with it standing up out and serving as a little shelter roof to the hole!? And I'm thinning I could get one of those little screens or even make one like Lowes has....they slide...and alter it...make it to hinge on the inside!? Up dn or to the side!? This way I can open the screen to the inside then open the window some direction then close my screen back on the inside so that bugs don't join me in my NICE BIG COZY CABIN!! 😊😅 I have a full size 8ft 88 Chevy bed! So I was lucky enough to have the large bed space to do mine on or with etc....!? I will be traveling the US with my pack of girls! I also live in HIGH HURRICANE ZONE!! And they r beginning out in the oceans and I suspect we will see some bad ones here come August! So I AM UNDER MAJOR PRESSURE MAJOR GUNS TO GET MINE TO A POINT OF QUICK BUG OUT!!?? And IF I HAVE TO GRAB THE GIRLS BUG OUT THEN WEEE WILL ALLL BE FORCED TO TRAVEL AND ACTUALLY LIVEEE IN THIS SPACE FOR A SET AMT OF TIME!!?? Sooo I am SOOOO GRATEFUL FOR MY LARGE EXTRA CAB TRUCK AND 8FT BED SPACE TO WORK WITH!! That said!? I am just continually amazed to hell at the amt of things one can do with that space!!! AND at the amt of things one can fit into it!! I started out thinking I won't get much in here so what I do get has gotta really count!! But as I have gone along I've been amazed at all the things I am able to do with the space!! And also as I go along I keep seeing more and more things I CAN DO with this space!! Funny how I started put with such a simple plan that has continued to grow into far more and more!! I mean as I go more and more ideals come to me!!?? And then I add that to my design my plan! I have also found some things in my original design or plan that IS NOT GOING TO WORK FOR ME OR MY BLD AS WELL!!! AND DUE TO THIS POTENTIAL WHICH I WAS AWARE MIGHT BE SO IN THE BEGINNING....DUE TO THIS I AM SOOO GLAD I CHOSE TO BLD EACH PANEL SEP THEN ADD THEM TOGETHER! AND THAT I CHOSE TO USE SCREWS!! BECAUSE THIS HAS ALLOWED ME TO CHANGE THINGS AND TO CONTINUE TO CHANGE OR REDO ANYTHING I DONT LIKE OR THAT DOESNT WORK!!?? WO TOTALLY FN UP OR MESSIN UP OR DESTROYING WHAT DOES!!! I DONT KNOW ABOUT URS BUT I HAVE HAD A BLAST WORKING ON MINE!!! AND IT'S STILL A MAJOR WORK IN PROCESS!! BUT I STILL LOVE AND ENJOY THE PLANS DESIGNS CHANGES CUTTING SANDING BLDING MAKING CREATING...!!! AND FROM THE LOOKS OF UR AND HOW IT TURNED OUT SOOO BEAUTIFUL COZY WELL BLT AND AMAZING...I SUSPECT THE SAME IS TRUE FOR U!!?? GREAT JOB WELL DONE!!! AND THANK U ESP FOR UR WINDOWS BECAUSE THIS ANSWERED MY SAME IDEAL ABOUT DOING MY OWN AND HINGING INSTEAD OF INTALLING!!?? AND MADE ME ADD THE POSSIBILITY OF OPENING LEFT AND NOT JUST UP OR DN!? LOVEEEE IT!!! WELL DONE! GREAT JOB!!! THANKS FOE SHARING!!!
