I've been using my airsense 10, and now my airsense 11 for the past 3 or 4 years without water without any problems. The first 4 years I used water and I noticed that you had to clean it more often. I've noticed much less cleaning issues since I started to go without water. I've not had any issue with just beathing normal room air. I've always just left the tank empty but I think this bypass will be a nice change for traveling.

I used the Dream machine 1 and now the Dream Machine 2 because of the recall. #1 was the real Dream, 2 was designed in the dark without any concern for the user. What I found over the years is that I need the lowest amount of humidity set on either machine because without any moisture setting, I get repeated sneezing all day. This also happens when I forget to fill the tank with distilled water or run out in the middle of the night. I can get 2 nights sleep out of one tank when filled to the line with the humidity on Low. I went to the C-pap doctor at that time and they prescribed a high powered nasal spray, lol, they will sell you anything until you figure out what the real problem is. At that time I turned off any moisture on the Dream Machine #1. I know this has nothing to do with this video, but I hope this helps someone with the sneezing issue.

Just my opinion, but I can't imagine using my CPAP without humidification! In fact, I was going to ask you to cover alternate humidification methods when using a travel CPAP.

Thanks for the input. And for once I am ahead of the question curve. The link below does a great job explaining the alternative to Heated Humidifiers on CPAP. cpapmyway.com/blog/what-is-a-hme

2:21 what happens if you put water in this part? yesterday, by mistake, I did it because I thought it was the humidifier...then I removed it and used it without any problem but I don't know if something bad could have happened. Thanks for your videos.

Which part are you referring to?

I was wondering the same thing with the bypass or tankless part that you use if you don't want to use the humififier. Did you get an answer?

My old resporonics machine gave out too much moisture when it was set to "0". I guit putting water in the chamber, and over time I got used to it. I have yet to put any water in the chamber of my AirSense 11. I wake up with a little dryness in my mouth, but no effect in my nose as I use a nasal mask.

It is only good in a humid air, definitely not in winter when air is very dry.

on the Air Sense 11, what do you suggest to do when water droplets get in the air tube?

We actually have a great video and blog on that. Link below for you. cpapmyway.com/blog/water-in-your-cpap-tube
