Slow day crabbing but such a beautiful weather in August. Our first time in this park, did not know if there will be crabs but ended up with 11 keepers. Breakfast and lunch on site. Enjoy the video😊!!! #crabbing

Nice-I was crabbing at the same location you were at in Island heights a few weeks ago. The mayor came by and told us we had to move to the gravel portion. no problem .

You met the Mayor😆! Oh, we had no idea. There were no signs and the length of the boardwalk was full that day.How many crabs did you get 🦀?

Yes🥰 such a secluded place. We actually drove past it and tried to figure out where to park. Nothing beats a park overlooking the river❤️. Thanks for watching!

“Sawsaw suka” hahaha you cracked me up!!! Thanks for sharing your awesome videos! 😊 we’ve been going back to the same spot in IH! Been catching spots and crabs - 18 keepers last Saturday with 6.3 as the biggest and nothing under 5 inches

Nice!!!🦀 We thought of going there that day when crabbing was slowing down. But then we thought we have “Tuyo” for lunch, people around us might complain about it’s wonderful aroma he.. he..So we decided to stay in this secluded park.

Great video! I tried Rt 52 causeway last weekend. Didn’t catch much. Someone did catch a 22” flounder.

Thanks🥰! Looks like a good fishing spot. We’ll try it one of these days.

Thank you🥰! We didn’t expect to catch any but we got lucky. Most of them were small though and there were snapping turtles😊. Bring extra bait, good luck!!!🦀🦀🦀

Is it just water in the bucket that you put the crab in?
@thandastones88810 ай бұрын
It’s water from the river where we just caught those crabs. We don’t keep them in it for too long though because they’ll run out of oxygen and die. Water calms them down and rinses the dirt after picking them up from sandy ground. Thanks for watching 🥰.

You do like I do and cook them before cleaning them. I think they taste better that way... What do you think?
@thandastones88810 ай бұрын
Yes, we like to cook them with their shells intact. It’s how we eat them growing up. We actually love eating the fat inside🥰.
@MarkDaGardna10 ай бұрын
@@thandastones888 You eat what some people call the mustard and all that gooey stuff inside? I love Soft Shell Crabs and that's the only time I Eat it all...
@thandastones88810 ай бұрын
@@MarkDaGardna 😊Yes, we eat it all. It’s an acquired taste, grew up eating them and is actually one of our favorite part in the crab. People actually buy them in Asian stores, in a bottle, labeled “ Crab Fat”. Great topping for hot white rice🦀

Where do you buy your crab nets?
@thandastones88810 ай бұрын
We got them from Dick’s Sporting Goods and you can also get them from local Bait and Tackle shops for about $9.99.
