I, too, love snagging coveted decor at bargain basement prices - who doesn't! I love, love, love the Arhaus aesthetic - but definitely NOT their prices. Anyone can go plop down huge sums of money and literally come home to a showroom style room, but doing it smartly makes it sooooo much sweeter! What's worth having, is worth waiting for - makes you appreciate it all the more. I definitely would agree with the occasional splurge, however. Sometimes you gotta do what, what you gotta do. A special piece that makes your heart skip a beat? Go for it! It makes it easier to do when you've been a savvy shopper securing many of your treasures while budgeting. You only live once! Nice seeing another Beau video early on this beautiful Saturday morning in Texas. Keep up the great work!

Well, a day without Beau is, well, a day without Beau but so wonderful when the day includes Beau👏👏! Made a visit to Pottery Barn yesterday to return some flowers that were pretty smashed in the mailing but I was able to get them at Michael’s for what seemed like nothing! We bought a Chesterfield style headboard and footboard at PB and it is so elegant! I didn’t want to skimp on this item so we gulped and put it on the PB card. We got over $300 in rewards so we can go shopping again!! I have to say that your Home Goods is much better in level of quality and choice than the one we have in Tucson. Rarely do I see anything as nice as what you show us. I’m on the mailing list with Arhaus - nice to see an actual store. Good Saturday morning Beau! I haven't ever been to Arhaus. However, out of the 3 stores, when you mentioned eclectic aesthetics, that got my attention. I had to look them up and there is a store in Houston about 30 minutes away. I might have to go there. It looks expensive though lol and I might feel weird walking around by myself. lol They are located in the Galleria area and a lot of stores there are fancy, pricey and "uptown." I just went online and I was browsing the decor section and chat popped up with a "design consultant" oh my! so yeah fancy. :) I'm gonna see what they have in their "Specials" section.

Hi my friend! They definitely have a very eclectic “worldly” aesthetic in comparison to others I’ve been to. Don’t be afraid to just walk around and gather inspiration - I went shopping alone too! Think of it as an art gallery, just admiring all the beautiful pieces 😊 that’s what I do, then I take what I like (ideas, inspo) and source it elsewhere if possible!

I found a table and some chairs in the "last chance specials" section but it looks like all sales are final and can't be returned. So I'm feeling a little more confident to go into the store and see if they have it.. and see how it looks in person. I love the notion to see the store as an art gallery. My inner child gravitates towards art museums and art appreciation. I'm going to put that on my bucket list for 2021 to visit and travel to art museums. Thank you sweet friend. Exactly! When I did interior decorating I would always ck Homegoods first but sometimes that particular client wants that special piece from one of these specialty stores . Also a few years ago I use to wk for Pottery Barn and Homegoods and it was awesome. I really miss it.

Gregory Cooper believe it or not, the only item I still have my eyes peeled for is a bar cart 🤓 I have yet to find one that I like! But in terms of smaller decor accents, it’s more impulsive as I tend to swap those out every now and again. I never really “need” anything so much as I “want” something new if that makes sense 😅

Gregory Cooper I have! I actually came across one at HomeGoods that I pondered for a second. The issue I have with lucite, however, is that it’s a little trendy, very “of the moment” and I fear it will become dated. Granted, for a bar cart it wouldn’t be a *huge * investment. My other thought is that I have a clear glass dining room table so I was hoping for something a little more substantial in contrast. But you definitely know my thoughts, Gregory! Always making me think 👏🏼

You could have a local welding fabricator create the base design and then top it with a fantastic piece of stone from your local marble/granite yard. Look through their remnant selection. They will cut to size, and polish if needed. The thing I love about marble (granite) is that there are sooooo many color and grain variations and it provides an organic play off of other pieces, and helps to ground a space. I have used these pieces for table tops, of course, also display serving trays for cheese platters or wine or bread or fruit. Also looks great with glasses on it.

Gregory Cooper now this is a fantastic idea! I need to do my research on welders in the area, or even just finding a base that I like and then handpicking a marble/granite to inlay. We have really great marble/granite warehouses close by so this could definitely be a fun project 🙏🏼😏✨ also, love that you mentioned remnants as serving trays. I know my Aunt whom I’ve mentioned before has marble countertops and had the excess cut and honed into perfect squares as cutting boards, drink rests, etc.
