The madest thing about this car is that the initial build was all done in a single 'en block' lock up garage, with no power, he apparantly had to run multiple extension cords from his nans house down her back garden, and all the way down the yard to be able to use any power tools. One of the most gorgeous cars to see in the fleash, soooo much attention to detail. Not sure how the crank is "splashing oil onto the heads" as there is no way for it to get past the cylinders and pistons?! Great to see this car is still around and that John is still racing it. 😎🥳

There were so many questions about the heat on one side. I was only relaying what the owner told me. As I asked due to him, if you look on the video. He has a temp gun but always on one side.

Interesting revelation about the cylinder heads being different temperatures due to possibly the oil. Could that affect final power output due to one side being hotter than the other?

What engine is it?

There's not many flat fours out there. I'm guessing it's the boxer engine 🤷♂️

Based on VW architecture, but all aftermarket parts - crank, case, heads, rods, everything. Around 2.4 litres, so double the size of the original, but already 10 times the power.

Methanol uses 2.2 times the amount of petrol. Your confusing it with the amount ethanol uses over petrol.

Yes, I think Adam may have remembered something from a previous Ethanol based tune we did. :)
