Actually no in this episode salad fingers is reflecting his mother’s personality and what he saw happen to her. The little flesh boy is salad fingers and, it’s a terrible story of abuse and being mistreated until in the end the mother cuts off all ties with her parents and brother (the glass brother) to raise salad fingers all on her own. In a way it’s a prequel

@Ashiicatt2 жыл бұрын
I think that maybe Andrew was Salad’s father, meaning that this glass brother was saying that Salad was like his father. I loved this retelling of abuse through the concept of reflections and how it really is just you on the other side. I feel like maybe Salad fingers dad died and he was taken away from the family, just like Hubert was taken away here. Salad wants to go back but there’s only abuse on the other side and he can’t stay. He had to come to terms with that he won’t have his old family back and he only now has Hubert to call a sort of son.

As a still new father who has excommunication on most of his family I must say I actually appreciated this. To be rid of toxicity in your life especially from family can be hard to acknowledge that it's there first off then to go through with cutting the ties is sometimes a violent gross thing that can bring about the most beautiful thing in the world. The feeling of freedom and true acceptance of oneself for who they are or who they could be sans the toxicity. I have both voluntarily/involuntary excommunicated from both mother and father sides of my family. My mother's side raised me in a cultish like super religious state of mind that after i entered the real world I learned was a flawed hurtful mindset to be in and breaking free from all of them has been the happiest I've ever felt even with still all the real feelings of grief from essentially knowing I'm not seeing any of them again even though they are why i am how I am today in terms of broken. I will get better though. Thank you David. Still loving rusty spoons 14 years later

1:20 If anyone is wondering, in the old days before running water people had to boil water to heat it for a bath/wash tub. In a big or poor family they couldn't waste all that wood and water for each kid. So whoever got the tub first got the cleanest and warmest bath water.

MARS vrethipixel I agree. If others want to look at it like it’s just all in his head, that’s fine. But I’d much rather think that it’s all really happening, which is even more fucked up to me, honesty. It’s like Salad Fingers lives in a bizarre dimension where reflections are portals and if you sew flesh onto a finger puppet, it becomes sentient. I love this series, it truly is a gift. Albeit one wrapped in barbed wire.
