Transformation, I'm excitedddd for this painting and i love how its based on your love for greek mythology (also love them myself lol) but mostly i love that's it's for a short story. I'm guessing thats a hint to the surprise at the end maybe. Large canvases are tough. I’ve been working on one for two years now and keep running into issues that I never had with smaller ones. Artists have always used whatever tools were at their disposal. Using a projector is no more cheating than using a photo reference or a camera obscura. It could be argued that by documenting your process through you tube, your art contains an honesty that simply wasn’t possible a century ago.

I once used the technique of just grey pencil on linnen (raw and unprpepped) and later used a soft white colour pencil and traced the whole drawing with it. Then I used an very soft eraser to smudge or smear the white colour pencil. It worked out pretty much like your painting but the white on grey pencil resulted in a blue tinge.

Hullo SLEW! I have done murals and large canvases and there is a true difference between them! Creating a video is an art form as well as I watch this video I am astounded by your acumen! Thank you for sharing this process with everyone. So many people just don’t have any idea what goes into getting a larger artwork going and progressing it to completion. I hope your photographer crests her own imagery and that you both can share in this amazing idea. Transformation is the true difference between medias!
