AWESOME track Dash! I was wondering if you could show us how you made the effect at 7:41 in your track? Maybe in a future video?
@DashGlitch6 жыл бұрын
Thanks man 😃 I’ve done a tutorial on these effects using a pitch shift, it’s in my “builds and drops” videos except here the pitch is going down

how do you make the drippy tops that are on this?
@DashGlitch4 жыл бұрын
Just very short decay drum sounds with lots of different delay time modulations on each. Try Tonsturm FrqShift - super easy way to make these types of sounds

Hey bro. Very nice trick. but I’d like to see the MIDI sequence that you made. Can you show that. Just to understand better that portamento skill.

Thanks, this bass sound is to similar to some of Flowjob bass lines. I'm just trying to get that sound. In Vital can I have similar tone?

Bro why my psytrance bass doesn't, sound good on my speakers where as they sound good on my headphone... Plzz can u do a tutorial on how to make our psytrance bass sound proper

this is usually down to the acoustics in your room :) check out a system called Sonarworks, I did a video on it

Hey, Dash, can you tell me what screen recording software are you using, please? I'm having issues getting the internal audio to record when using cubase...
@DashGlitch6 жыл бұрын
Hello, I'm using OBS studio, it's free but I presume you're using that as I had the same issue, DAW's like to take hold of audio drivers, so I'm actually using a second soundcard to capture the output and send that to OBS
@alterearth70226 жыл бұрын
To add on to what Dash mentioned - Use voicemeeter banana to route audio in and out exactly how you want. It is free, but does take a little work to set up properly. Is quite confusing!
@BluffMunkey6 жыл бұрын
If you use a soundcard that has loopback, OBS will pick it up. One of the audio cards I use in a UR44, and it also has a software mixer that allows you to mix your DAW/Mic pre-recording. No need for Voicemeeter or second audio cards.

Hey Dash. You never actually show the midi for the melodi that you are talking about. Did it get cut out?
@DashGlitch6 жыл бұрын
Well the important part I'm trying to stress is spend time making the melody unique rather than the sound of the square bass, I think a lot of people over complicate the sound side of this process, so I didn't intend to show the MIDI, rather the process of how I arrange something that is written

Listening on a phone, the bass is hidden in the other sounds. Would be better to isolate it more
@DashGlitch6 жыл бұрын
Try listen with monitors or headphones, square wave has less mid range so won’t be as audible on a phone speaker which probably has nothing below 100hz 👌
@TheBradleytn6 жыл бұрын
Dont listen on your phone then... get some headphones atleast
