In today's episode of Dungeons and Dragons Horror Stories, we have a tale of a creepy DM that touches a player without asking consent, a story of a cringe guy that has too much to drink and ruins a campaign, and a tale of a DM using TTRPGs to steal a player's girlfriend.

@@jamesmahon6788 Maybe not even trash, but maybe they both are really into erotic RP... I once had a case where 2 players from a long running game approached me and offered to pay me to DM a... lets say "adult" session for the two of them. They made clear that "adult" roleplay turned them on and stuff, but lucky for me, they were really not pushy about it and respected my boundaries. They basically just told me they like my DM style and had fantasies with their characters already, but it fell kinda flat without a DM... So yeah, guess the Ex-GF of the last OP just really found her "thing" with that DM guy.

The first story left a serious bad taste in my mouth. Like, I get cheating is bad, I've had it happen to me twice, but to do it right in front of the woman you're about to marry? That dm needs some therapy. As for the second story, you can drink whatever you want, just don't let it influence your decisions. Also, Quidditch is a sport from harry potter, and yeah there is a real life like version you can play (There isn't anything flying and trying to kill you.), there is no way he would be buff and more handsome from it, he just had main character syndrome to the nth degree and op should have shut down the increase to 5 thing, and said a 3 or 4 seemed right, but definitely not 5. I get you want to keep your friends and such, but you got to stand against them when it comes to somethings, even as minor as a ttrpg.

Any time I join a new campaign with people (especially dms) that I don't know that well, I make my characters A-Sexual. So if anyone tries to get creepy, I can just point to the character sheet and say it's not happening. I once played a lesbian warlock (being a lesbian and a goth myself, this seemed fitting) and had a DM try to make my character straight and convert to a new god in the same session. I noped out of that campaign very quickly.

I went to a one-shot once where one of the new players was really drunk, but luckily she wasn't this disruptive. She just couldn't focus on the plot or remember which dice were which, and it was kind of annoying to have to stop every five minutes to remind her which NPC we're talking to and which dice to roll, but we got through the session without needing to send her home. The DM tried to talk to her and her boyfriend afterwards, and realized that this woman had a serious drinking problem and wasn't going to be any better behaved at future games, so they just didn't get invited back. Her BF was a nice guy and a good player, but sadly they were a package deal.

I do some freelance DMing, and I once had two players sit there the entire campaign, constantly talking about the Minecraft streamers they hate. Like... with vitriolic and disgusting comments. Wishing people would send them pipe bombs and then saying they were joking, refusing to let two tea cups be near each other because the colors reminded them of two of the guys (????????), and constantly shit talking. It was so uncomfortable. And very out of left field. I get not liking people, and you're allowed to talk smack about celebrities, but... I thought, wow, what a weird thing to be so aggressive about. Like... Minecraft? It was even more uncomfortable for me, because my little brother has told me how much he likes Minecraft and some of those guys, but the really awkward part was that... This was a for public session. They paid a general admission like everyone else, and did this all in front of strangers, who were also uncomfortable. Eventually I just asked them to please stop, and they got mad, but they did. And they did still claim to have a good time, but it wasn't very nice for the rest of us. It was just weird and uncomfortable. I honestly didn't know how to react. They seemed to genuinely like the session, and said they wanted to do another with me sometime, but I really don't want to hear about how much they want Minecrafters to "fall and break a kneecap, ha ha, jk" again. At least I got paid for it, though.

Short funny story that I hope gets added to a video, as it's as cringey as it is funny. But one time I was playing a funny campaign with friends, and my character was, I shit you not, a sentient brick. With terrifyingly high, almost maxed out stats. I *almost* didn't get to play it but after trying to convince the DM how funny it would be, they basically said why not, we play through our sessions and at the very ending, we're finally at the BBEG battle. It was a tricky and difficult fight because the dice gods werent on their side at that moment (of COURSE.) But I'll never forget what went down. "POV: Team is about to have their asses handed to them, but one member begins pulling out Brick from their bag, yells "VICTORY IS OURS BROTHERS!" tossing it in front of the boss, the boss looks confused for a moment, then begins to laugh and mock the party, only to be silenced as doom music starts fading in (I played it from my phone, it really added onto the whole meme moment, everyone almost died laughing). What made the moment even better is how at that moment, the dice finally started giving good rolls, so here's this boss having his ass handed to him, BY A BRICK. best funny/meme campaign I've ever had.

My horror stories wouldn't be youtube friendly in any capacity lol. I had two players once when I was running a public group on behalf of my local library.. they recognized me from an adult store I used to work at about two years prior and proceeded to use that as justification to sexually harass me. They'd ask me incredibly inappropriate sexual questions, in front of children no less, no matter how many times I told them to stop. The library wouldn't let me kick anyone out, so I just had to grit my teeth and bear it. Until the day the older of the two (50s, I was 20) came up to me and asked me, in the middle of the children's section of the library, if I wanted to join his (totally real and not at all a figment of his filthy unbathed imagination) harem and began to describe what he wanted to do to me sexually. In front of LITERAL CHILDREN, like I'm not talking just the couple of teens leaving the dnd room last minute but actual like 5-10 year old kids, and my boyfriend at the time. I haven't stepped foot in that library since. It's been nearly three years now.
