The second story sounded completely plausible to me until the end. That 5000 word fic in half an hour just sounds absurd, especially with it being a re-write of something the other person wrote, it would take way longer than that. It just seems so unnecessary and it made the OP sound insufferable, they sound like they ended up just as annoying as the other person. Taking up time from a D&D game to shout at another player about who is better at writing terrible (and probably misspelled judging by the writing speed) fanfiction sounds like grounds for getting kicked out, honestly, and I feel terrible for Ace for having had to sit there listening to that if it happened.

That second story is so horribly fake, especially the part where Virgin Problem Player just got completely destroyed by Chad OP in a battle of erotica fanfic. TLDR: It is unlikely that OP had the ability to type that fast and have the mental processing power fast enough to read and then rewrite villains smut story from scratch. I doubt fanfic OP to be honest. I don't know how type speed averages are world wide but outside of GBWR, fastest typing speed I found has been between 208 to 216 WPM, which would mean the max amount of words that would be typed in 30 minutes would be 6,240. Again, that would be the fastest typist, but records have criteria so that way it's fair and can be repeatable. OP here somehow read the entire "villain's" story, processed it, improved it, and then rewrote it all in 30 minutes. Even using the crappy story as a template you would have to figure out how the beats were wrong and how to fix them, then line them all up and connect them to be coherent story. Whether it's the typing speed or the creative process, this is still subject to human error. So then, somehow, someway, everything about this work had absolutely no flaws to the point where the DM (not even sure smut is that important to them) would kick the villain for it and that the villain (being jilted and pissed off) would be so moved by the work that they'd ask OP to take a commission from them. Oh, and then being able to go into a 50 minute lecture to deconstruct everything and throw it back into the face of the villain to further shame them with a condescending tone. Lastly what kind of struck me was the whole: 'they insulted everything but now they insult my skill,' just seems like A) a shitty setup line from a low budget action flick, and B) if that's the tipping point for op to actually do something speaks a lot about op's character which makes it so people wouldn't put it pass them for making up such a story. Like, none of this is IMPOSSIBLE, but for everything like this to line up so perfectly would mean OP probably used up all their good luck points that they would be luckier if they were to break a mirror.

Unfortunately, the culture of excessive praise coupled with disregarding most criticism as "hate," on most fanfic sites, has led to anyone who can string a sentence together (and quite a few who can't) to believe they are the gods' gift to writing. I love fanfic, and I've read some truly excellent works of writting thru it, but the sheer amount of incomprehensible dreck that still gets heaped with praise has a lot of these fic writers believing they have reached the peak of their craft...when they actually have barely even got a begginers understanding of the work that goes into writing. Honestly both these writers seem like exactly that kind of hot mess.

so I made this comment on another video/channel that had story #1 in it, y'all here might get a kick out of it too. First, if he knew anything about Drow society, he'd never seduce/threaten a female drow like that, that's just telling the DM "make me an NPC cause this character will never be seen again"... why? he'd become a collared & branded slave, locked away from the world until he died of old age or she got bored of him and killed him. Second, let him seduce the npc's in the tavern, let him. Next NPC is an Illithid in disguise, they get "seduced" by him, they go upstairs to do their thing, let him get really excited until the Mindflayer just starts sucking their brain out, is anyone gonna help? NOPE! Who in a tavern is gonna come running when he just took a hottie upstairs and they hear thumping and maybe muffled screams that way downstairs only sounds like pleasure moans... no everyone is gonna be too drunk, they'll all raise their mugs and be like "aye, get 'em lad!" and that's that, gg character dead and you just smile at the player and ask if he'd like to roll a new character Sure, cringy asswipes like that suck, but if they really wanna be stupid and cringy, make them regret it. There are PLENTY of in game mechanics that are not story breaking or deviating that will shit all over crap like that.
