I find black beans to have a more pleasant flavor than those kidney beans which tend to be overpowering anything it's cooked in...
@BackyardChef2 ай бұрын
We all have choice - Baked beans work fantastic in the dish! Thank you. Best, Rik
@rlosangeleskings2 ай бұрын
@@BackyardChef It's basically the same technique for the baked black beans... My kidney bean problems began as a child with my grandmother's chili... Adding a bottle of Tabasco didn't help making it tasting better...just made it worse... I was judging a chili cook-off in 2008 and I swore my grandmother rose from the dead to haunt me with the most foul tasting chili I ever had... Before writing anything down...the judge beside me yelled out "MY GOD!!! WHEN DID (INSERT FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCT HERE) COME IN TABASCO FLAVOR!!!" It also marked the first time I spat chili out of my nose from laughing so hard...because he shouted something nicer than what I was going to write about it... I was glad that it was the last entry because I couldn't take any more chili after that one... BTW...the winning chili was made by my girlfriend who actually improved on my recipe by adding a little sugar to it and doubling the jalapenos...on a coin flip... I had mine ranked second at a 9.5 and rated the other one a perfect ten the second judge flipped mine to where it was the third judge being the decider and he ranked both of them as perfect tens...hence the coin flip... I was mad at her for a while becoming a surprise entrant in the contest... Both were two bean chilis (black and pinto) perfect in spice only the GF was written down a half point on a wee too much of a garlic flavor... Out of ten entries my girlfriend and the girl I'm going out with behind her back... We had our first zero rated chili in the history of the contest as well... The third to ninth rated chilis were about 3.5 points apart and the three I had lowest ranked had kidney beans in them... One I marked too much heat...not enough flavor... One I marked down two points because the Thai chilies were a good idea...just hard to manage correctly for a chili... The rest were a point off...but they would have made for good chili fries...

Listen my friend , why do you fry in olive oil as a chef you know i am sure that olive oil should be used as raw. As for salads dressing on Pasta dishes Etc .
@BackyardChef2 ай бұрын
You can fry in any oil. Just be aware of heat temperatures. So if you want to use Olive oil for just salad dressing get on with it and stop trying to be clever on here! Why should it be only used for dressings? Thank you. Best, Rik
