"Pickup on South Street" and "To Be or Not to Be" are both wonderful films, and the location shooting in 1920s New York City in "Speedy" is like traveling there in a time machine. Finally, "City Lights" is my favorite Chaplin film! The final shot is one of the most moving in film history.

I have been to that Barnes & Noble too. I live in Atlanta. I had 2 amazing hauls at the Buckhead location, but that's when I was starting my collection. Now I don't go there anymore, because they never have my "must buy" criterions. I figured Connor was going to be left disappointed the second I realized they went to the Buckhead location.
@FilmsByColor2 жыл бұрын
Oh cool, another local collector. Nice to meet you, man. Yeah I had never been to the Buckhead store before. It wasn’t the best. The Sandy Springs, Smyrna, and Marietta stores where all great though. We found a lot of stuff there.
@jesusperez71082 жыл бұрын
@@FilmsByColor Marietta rocks. I need to check those other locations out, because Cumberland is leaving something to be desired. Perimeter has a pretty solid collection. I went to Snellville once and I had a great haul with them. I have to drive like an hour though to find a Barnes and Noble with a respectable collection though.

Really enjoy watching your low-key, but engaged and quality content. Have picked up, so far, Raging Bull (4K), The Girl Can't Help It, Pickup on South Street, and In The Heat Of The Night. Don't see how I'll beable to talk the family into a good evening with Jake La Motta, so I'll probably have to wait on that one... That being said, my son & I watched Seven Samurai last night & he seemed to authentically like it. Didn't fall asleep nor look at his phone for almost 3.5 hours. Who knows, maybe he'll dig Heat of the Night.

I LOVE The Ballad of Narayama, I will say that the first time I watched it I didn't know how I felt about it until about the final act and that's when it all hit me and I fell in love. It's definitely good leading up to that point, but on a first watch (also I didn't know what the story was supposed to be going in) I found it difficult to get a feeling of what was going on until that point.

I’m a fellow criterion collector as well. I’ve already been on three B&N criterion hauls and plan on two more before the month is over, here’s what I’ve gotten: *Shaft, Pink Flamingos, The Damned, Death in Venice, The American Friend, Fail Safe, Pierrot Le Fou, Shame, Shallow Grave, The Circus, Night on Earth* I got the John Cassavettes boxset last Christmas and considering getting the Tati boxset on my last haul. Cool video.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I’ve had so much fun editing this series of videos. Glad you’re enjoying them. I did get some Arrow pickups before Conner got here. I limited myself to just two, because I knew I would go nuts on the Criterion sale. I got 12 monkeys and the Yokai Monsters Collection Box Set. Which ones did you pick up?

The Arrow sale was awesome. I love that they have cool limited edition sets of some releases. From the Arrow sale I got: • Hold Back the Dawn • Wild Things 4K (Limited Edition) • An American Werewolf in London 4K (Limited Edition) • True Romance 4K (Limited Edition)

Your welcome. I got Wild things and True Romance on Blu-Ray Boxsets because I don't have a 4K player. Criterion's I got are When Horror came to Shochiku(DVD)Became it's not on Blu-Ray and 12 Angry Men and The Man who knew to much on Blu-Ray. By the way the 12 Monkeys Blu-Ray apparently has some sort of manufacturers Error on it you might want to see if your copy Is part of that. That's the only reason I didn't pick it up myself

The Greatest Adventure is what lies ahead..unless this ends after Day 2, and that footage of tomorrow was delayed April Fools lies since this is a time travel video from the past to the present...and this present with you guys is a gift, so expect the unexpected here on TheWelder! TheWelder was a super villain after all...but I was certain he sought reconciliation after he got his final revenge on Conner picking up the Third Man... Being that you have the greatest dedicated movie channel, we have to hear your thoughts on Citizen Kane being that it's the movie that people bring up as a benchmark for movies like Shakespeare for literature...and they've probably never watched it, so it might be some kinda of nerdy self-defense mechanism thing going on even though we're talking about a nerdy pop culture....and by we, I mean, I'm not speaking for anyone but myself and this talking ring that I picked up on South Street but I'm sure many would like to hear your thoughts on it! I've seen it twice and while I don't think it's one of the absolute greatest movies like It's a Wonderful Life, Ben Hur, The Godfather, and Jingle All the Way, I thought Citizen Kane was a great movie but maybe you'll think it lives up to the hype like the Passion of Joan of Arc...which I shamefully haven't seen yet...not as shameful as not seeing a Wes Anderson film in theaters because it's waaaaaaay worse! Especially since I haven't done either...where are we going with this precious South Street ring? We'll just have to wait and see if there's a Day 3 becauseeeee there's allllllwaaaayyyss tomorrowwww for dreeeaaaams to come true like a new video with DJ and Conner....the greatest Happy belated July 4th celebration....today.... since the greatest Happy belated July 4th celebration would be seeing Conner apologize profusely for that bottle rocket seeking reconciliation by traveling to Mars on a diplomatic adventure to give Martians the ultimate reason to spare America: Jingle All the Way. I might have picked up something else on South Street to make me so goofy today. haha You guys are awesome. Hope you and yours had a very Happy belated 4th of July! P.S. I hope your wife is okay!

Haha! I always enjoy your comments, but you’ve really outdone yourself on this one. Even got a Rankin & Bass Rudolph reference in there. Well done!
