I’m a novice when it comes to stretching and just did these after having worked out the past two nights and BOY does this make a difference. I feel ready to go and I’m not sore at all. Idk why i was avoiding doing these basic warm ups all this time.

A fellow gym enthusiast informed me yesterday about not doing so much cardio before a workout. I typically do 40 minutes. He said I would end up being tired and not be able to lift properly. I told him I knew that cardio does nothing to help weight loss, which is partly why I'm there, I just need something for my heart. He probably has a point, that is why I am here. Good video.
@Criticalbench3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Cardio can help with weight loss however, a lot of people get trapped into the mindset that hours of cardio are what will ultimately have the greatest impact on their weight loss.

I used to do 5-10 minutes of cardio machines like the treadmill and bike prior to training. However now since I have allocated days of cardio, I now only do a range of dynamic and a couple of static pre warms ups prior to resistance training and no cardio machines . Would you recommend I include back my 5-10min cardio warms up or are dynamic warm ups enough? :)
@Criticalbench6 жыл бұрын
They can be enough if you do enough. 2-3 minutes of dynamic movement isn't enough. Most beginners won't know a good dynamic routine to follow and that's why it's recommended to do both.

Hey wanted to ask, today while doing bench i got pain in one of my arms, could it be from lack of stretching Edit: Pain existed during first few workouts, now everything is normal

It could be a lot of things. We are not doctors and cannot diagnose. If the pain persists you need to see your doctor.

That's a little different style of warming-up where it can be dependant on the type of event, surface, level of skill and so on. However do a search on our KZbin page looking for 'dynamic stretching' and you'll see some dynamic stretches that you'll find beneficial.

Hey man, when I was doing the crisscrosses I kept hearing a pop in my right shoulder. I’m aware it’s not good that’s happening, do I just keep stretching properly or should I get it checked?
@Criticalbench2 жыл бұрын
Either you need to stretch, activate the opposing muscle groups, or change the position of your hands. If you still feel it then have a dr check it out. Does it cause you pain?
@LucrativePerson3 жыл бұрын
What do you mean stretching doesn’t increase flexibility that’s bs because the stretches I do for taekwondo made me way more flexible
