Nice guide! Great tip on the meta gem with 3% dmg as a filler until the other gem shows up. Also worth mentioning patchwerk wand from classic is almost equivalent to the wand from Arc.

good guide, we can see that you main the class and know it in depth, Some realistic points : unless you are drowning in gold there's no way you are going to put Spellpower enchant on blue pre raid bracers, that enchant is worth a few hundreds of gold easily, you'd most likely go with 12 intel enchant. I think you skipped the Mana-Etched set, the 2p bonus gives a massive 35 spell hit, glove shoulder and chest are viable, yes its heroics and shoulder drops from quag which gives you the eye at the same time, but with Epic tailoring and exalted rep you will run heroics well before those so its important to know which to prioritize. the problem with the classic gear for tbc "guides" is that its not realistic or doable by any mean, its not like you are going to watch this then hop into classic get to 60, find a guild spot, farm raids, save points and have the items magicaly drop and get them, I know a lot of guides mention classic AQ/Naxx gear fopr tbc but that is totaly useless, and is like telling people to buy mage boosts with gold or roll on items that are upgrades for them in raids.

When would I replace Atiesh? Also, I recommend if you have wand of fates from patchwerk in naxx, another great option for you to carry across to TBC. Great vid, keep it up!

Replacing Atiesh depends on if you parse greedy or want to raise raiders dps. Atiesh is effectively a 28crit rating and 315 spellpower weapon before enchant so based on that you don’t replace it until Zhar’doom from Black Temple. If you only care about personal dps and parse then you will replace it on t4 with dagger from Prince and badge off hand. (Just don’t be greedy imo)

@@darrenmiller6897 you will definitely still be able to parse with it equipped 100% as in a parse run you are cheesing so many other things (chain PI’s, BoP to stop pulling threat, Bloodlust rotations etc) that your weapon having like ~50 less spell power will not be the make or break from that 99 or 100 parse. Especially if your guild has multiple Atiesh on warlocks since the auras stack that once you get like 3+ in raid and group the difference between atiesh and the other weapons become negligible.

The more important question is to ask how many Atiesh will you be bringing into TBC. My guild for example, myself and 2 warlocks have it. Keeping us in the same group for raid gives us an extra 90 spellpower (+30sp each aura) since the auras stack. The only thing we could replace it with at that point would be Tempest of Chaos + OH.

@@ciscoguy22 regardless of stacking or not each Atiesh should not be replaced until Zhar’doom in BT. The impact each Atiesh has on the raid is static. The only benefit of stacking them is you see that benefit more clearly on the wielders personal parse instead of on the raid dps as a whole.

Just a heads up - Subtlety to cloak is actually already in classic and it drops in AQ40. Looks like the change in 2.1 was that they added it to the hellfire vendors and changed it to use TBC enchanting materials. For gloves: Dark storm gauntlets come out of AQ40 as well not Naxx. For Boots: plagueheart boots are a pretty good early option since they have 14 crit rating and 34 spellpower

Dark Storm Gauntlets are from AQ40, not Naxx, and you always seem to ignore Wand of Fates from Patchwerk when discussing wands. Other than that, great video, as always.

Yo Crix thank you for this Video, this helped me A LOT with my TBC preperation. I would just like to know your opinion about Atiesh (yes I'm the lucky one in the guild ;) ) I think due to the spelldamage buff, it is not only pre raid bis but also T4 content bis. Yes for me personaly, there is better gear, but the additional spelldmg given to my group is even better or not? For Wands you didnt mention the Wand of Fates out of Naxx, it has nearly same stats as the Nether Core's Control Rod and this is the wand I will go for in TBC.

You are 100% correct. Atiesh is BiS for that exact reason. You actually should expect to use it until T6 IMO. That's when I'd swap it out finally. Plus with how long the phases will be, you'll be able to pick up a Mindblade off Prince, or have time to get the PvP Weap. So you really don't lose out on anything. And.... You get the amazing Port.

@@Crix_Gaming Yeah true, in P5 you probably want the offhand from Netherspite (the one with Hit) and a 1h or the staff from curator just for tanking Leo etc. to have more hit rate. But sadly there is no single 1h with hit on it, except the one from World Boss Kazzak (which is very good, but probably not available for a lot of guilds).

We dont ever run an Aff Lock. Even on overtuned Pservers. So I won't be running one unless it's the fights where we have 5-6 Locks in. That being said. There is nothing wrong wrong running one as they bring good utility

I'm super torn between scryers and aldor, want to PvP primarily but also raid in-between. Is the scryers bloodgem a must have if I don't have any of the level 60 trinkets already? I was already set on Aldor for the shoulder enchant but that trinket looks really necessary

on the chest segment 12:39 you dont mention plagueheart robe, are those still a good option before and/or compared to the shadoweave and spellfire robes? they have good stats along with crit, hit and 51 spellpower, so id think they would hold up, especially if you are just running them and getting t4 as soon as possible. Atiesh is BiS IMO. Simply for the SP you're giving out to your Party. You actually should expect to use it until T6 IMO. That's when I'd swap it out finally. Plus with how long the phases will be, you'll be able to pick up a Mindblade off Prince, or have time to get the PvP Weap. So you really don't lose out on anything. Plus, you get that port.
