Strikes like lightning. Knifemaker James Williams’ longstanding history and knowledge of hand-to-hand combat sets the bar for his tactical knife creations-and the Inazuma No Ken™ is no exception to the rule. Inspired by the Otanashi noh Ken™ and the Hissatsu™ Folder, James brings us another Japanese-inspired knife with a name that translates to “lightning sword.” Merging three remarkable innovations-Ken Onion’s Assisted Opening and Flavio Ikoma’s IKBS™ Ball Bearing Pivot System and Deadbolt® lock-stand back as it quickly and smoothly deploys, locking into place to withstand even the toughest jobs. You’ll see soon enough how it’s rightfully earned its namesake.

ha i just ordered a OTANASHI NOH KEN and now it looks like i would be happier with the INAZUMA NO KEN's assisted opening so i'm placing yet another order 😂.

This is what the folding Hissatu should have been. Maybe. We'll see once we get our grubby little hands on it. ;)

Would've loved to see this in a non-assisted form. Seeing the deadbolt lock I was excited for what would essentially be a smooth dropping, tougher locking Goken. With the knife being assisted however, I have to say that I'll be passing this one up due to it not being able to be de-assisted and remain closed. Almost there, but just didn't quite hit the mark. Hoping for a manual version, but I won't hold my breath on that one. Still a sweet blade though, glad to see James Williams is still making some mean blades for CRKT.

This knife has grown on me. I used to prefer the Hissatsu folder. Now however, I love this about as much as I love my Hissatsu.

This would have been so much better if it wasn't assisted! Such a great looking knife. This would have been a home run if it was just IKBS bearings and no assisted opening.

Unfortunately can’t be de-assisted, when you remove the spring there’s nothing to keep the blade closed. Would love one unassisted but still really like this knife. The spring isn’t hard to over come though and it comes out strong which to be fair is the point, it’s not meant to be a fidget knife. Love the deadbolt though. Absolutely zero blade play in any direction.

I have one. Think I'm liking it, the knife has no side to side blade play, but up and down it moves noticeably. Is this how it was designed? Thank you.

I've got 2 Hissatsu folders, 2 Otanashi Noh Ken, 2 Heiho and a Goken. This one looks nice but it seems to have broken the basic and simple Williams design philosophy. Still love the Hissatsu best for it's overall design and the size is just right.

With that lock you should be producing knives that rvial the bugout. 6.2 oz weight for 3.68" blade length is such a disappointment.

Can you stop putting assisted opening on all of your knives?

It’s a shame it’s assisted opening meaning when you press down the bolt lock and can’t flip your wrist to close the knife like Axis locks or compression locks. People in the knife community want drop shut actions and non-assisted opening knives. CKRT manages screws up a great design once again. I wish the people at CKRT would listen to the knife community instead of corporate thinking they know what people want. Also it’s $120 for D2 steel which is a little much for D2 especially when you consider it’s made overseas.
