The detente is a difficult one to make to keep everyone happy - if it's too firm, it'll prevent the addictive flicking you enjoy. The lack of finger protection when closing is my biggest gripe, as a slightly longer unsharpened section would've provided that additional bit of safety.

Your not being fussy at all… I just got one, it’s way to easy to manipulate, like if you ever had to use it to defend yourself you’d cut your own fingers off Beautiful shape and coloring of it, love the way it looks and feels, just not very ‘usable’

It looks like a ball detent retention system rather than a slip joint. Other than that, it's a pretty knife.

Take the crkt. At least I hope it's different with this one. The Wasabi is beautiful but (at least it was like this with mine) you can cut yourself on the Wasabi while it's closed. The Blade doesn't stick out but when press lightly on the back while it's closed you can touch the Blade. Now imagine sliding your hand into your pocket

The Wasabi flipper is on the front of the knife, which makes it very difficult to open
