I just finished making this hat for my grand daughter . I added a few rounds because she just turned two and I think her head is a little bit bigger than the one you made. Love your tutorials. I loom but I like to embellish and use your flower tutorials. So I decided to try to make the full hat. On row 4 it starts to ruffle on me. I do not have the shape of a hat I have the shape of a round doily ruffling and its cute but not correct. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I know w looming if you do A you get B so all my crochet friends out there can tell me what it is I did wrong to get the ruffle started too soon.

For the 3-9mo , after the 3rd row you said ( 2 DC ) every 4th stitch. I’ve been stuck at this point because my 2 DC’s no longer align with 2 DC of the previous row. I made a bucket hat before using someone else’s video and I feel like I’m doing something wrong now ? Lol. I proceeded w/ 2 DC every 3rd stitch and then went to every 4th on the next row & now I’m on a row w/o increases but it’s still off 🫠🫠 I’m going to undo the piece again and just do as you say and hope it comes out properly lol.

They do not have to align. It just depends on the designer. The outcome will be the same 😊

Figured I would see what it looks like in the end 😂 I finished the hat itself & it’s beautiful and purple 💜 I’m gonna work on the flower tomorrow flower🌸 that’ll be my first intricate piece 😊 I appreciate this video.
