Downside to the Cummins gas truck? Still have most of the weight of the diesel engine? Price? I know the gas version wouldn’t have the expensive emissions components, but I’m thinking the engine would still be $$$ vs the price of the standard gasoline engine.

if they switch to an aluminum head . switch up the pistons and rods . remove the common rail pump and swap the exhaust manifold to a tubular design they will only be 200 lb more than a big block . granted its still 200lbs but im sure there will be other differences . open deck design with sleeves . plastic oil pan and other odds and ends that will lighten it up and still retain its durability . basically gonna be a ford 300 inline on steroids and im pumped to pull one out of a junkyard destroke it and put it in a race car lmao

Would be neat to see a 6.7L natural gas engine offered as a crate engine for California, given its lower level of emissions.
