I was hoping to hear you talk about part size to loc size ratio for desires loc size in this vid. I would be interested in hearing your POV on that.

I am glad that you mentioned having a picture or sample sizes ,so that clients can see the actual size their loc will be. I am 10 months into my loc journey and loving how they are thank you for this video.

Thanks for this! I will definitely be incorporating this into my consultations. Ppl often watch my videos and say “i want my locs the same size as yours”, and it leaves me confused bc my locs have changed in size since I’ve started. Sample sizes will cut out so much confusion though. Thanks for sharing.

Precious baby girl😇😇😇 The desired size of your locs should definitely be discussed during consultation and before install process. It's unfortunate that someone would take all that time to actually grow locs and not be satisfied with the journey and work they have put in... Smh. Thanks for the video, enjoy your weekend!!!

I love the sizing idea. I thought my locs were too small when they were started. I didn't start over, and I've already combined a few of them! So, thanks for sharing this tip. When you say cultivate, do you mean palm roll?

My hair is less dense & thin in my bang area so I got my locs started a month ago with bigger sections than on previous sets of locs & I feel a lil' more secure that they won't thin out over time do to the weight of the loc on my thin hair in that area. HOWEVER, I'm still not happy because even though I don't feel I'll have as much trouble with thinning because of the bigger parts, I don't like that I only have 3 locs in my bang area, when with my previous set, I had like, 9 or 12 in that area which gave me more fullness/styling options. So either way, seems like it's a lose/lose situation. I used to think that having smaller locs/smaller sections on thin hair would put less weight on the root --- therefore less breakage. But with my last set they were small (not micro/sister lock small) but they still broke. With larger parts on thin hair, I feel like if they don't mature right, they could still break even with a larger section base, or they might hold better cuz even though the hair is less dense in that section, there's still more of it due to the increased section size. IDK. Should you just not retwist as often when you have locs on thin hair regardless of the part size/ hair density to prevent breakage?? I want locs that aren't small but aren't as big as yours but I don't know if I can achieve that with my hair being so thin/less dense in my bang area. I feel like I'm gonna have to settle for not having locs at all cuz I have to choose between having the aesthetic I like but deal with breakage due to thinning, OR have an aesthetic I don't like but not have to worry about thinking AS much. Please help!! By the way, the pic in my thumbnail is of me with my last set of locs I cut off almost a year ago. I loved them at that stage cuz I like the number of locs I had cuz they gave me a full look & many styling options and is what I want to achieve again, but my hair was so fine in the front, that even though I never wore tight styles & mostly wore my hair down, they still thinned out all the time. And no, it wasn't due to the bleach. You can't see cuz the pic is so small, but I had about an inch or two of new growth that hadn't been bleached, so it wasn't the bleach that weakend it as it had been almost a year since I had the color touched up at that point, & I never bleached it again. I've had the thinning problems even before I started that set. It just got worse over the years but I didn't know how bad cuz I always had locs & it was hard to tell for a long time cuz of the permanent parting system of locs

Hey there. I also have low density and thin hair. I've had starter locs for a month and I'm afraid that I won't get a full look. I have 75 locs. How many did you have in your previous set and how many do you think I should get, to have the fullest look possible. Please help me.

I just started my locs with two strand twist. May I ask about how many locs you have in your head? I want them. Medium. Bigger than sister locs. And smaller than yours. Your channel has been a big help for my journey.

Hi there. I started Locs on my daughter last May, and she has loose natural hair. We wash every 3-4 weeks. However, I’ve noticed that the length of some of her Locs are not completely Loc’d, it’s still kinda loose. What can I do?

What is the definition of "cultivating" in this scenerio? Please elaborate. I am starting from 22in hair, and I don't palm roll but I do twist downward as I retwist. Is this what you mean by cultivating?
@thedigitalloctician

Cultivation encourages the hair to progress to a intertwine and form a locked internal matrix of hair.
