Random but Yujiro reminds me of an episode off a cartoon I’ve seen. I think it’s Fairly Odd parents. There was an episode where Timmy wished to be the strongest on the beach and multiple times bigger and stronger guys kept coming and he just magically kept getting bigger and stronger once another guy took his first step on the beach. I think it has a lot to do with how Baki surprised him so many times during their fight. Using the cockroach tackle completely caught him off guard. Baki being able to knock Yujiro unconscious for a brief instant by striking during the window between thought and action. Baki making the little metal figure while being nunchucked into a car. The most enjoyable parts of the battle for Yujiro were the parts his godlike perception couldn't anticipate. Now that he knows his sons are capable of things beyond his sight, I think he wants to give Jack a chance to surprise him too.

I’m not Japanese, but I have lived there for a few years in my early 20’s. That being said, I’ve got Musashi tattoo’d on my hand, I’ve read his book multiple times and his real life lore is actually mythical in status, he’s the greatest sword fighter ever to exist and he did things that should be impossible. It makes complete sense they wouldn’t disrespect him like that.

Yujiro is going from being a "distanced bad dad" stereotype into being an "awesome dad reconnecting with his sons" It was pretty much inevitable when they started developing Jack past his jobber status. Japanese fiction is starting to once again appreciate "HUNGER" over the recent 'casual over-power' trend. Either Jack is going to eclipse Baki, or Baki is going to bleed(steal) into Jack's arc.

The way I see it is this. The other fighters are getting more and more powerful. Yujiro never had a peer before honestly. Now he has some people who aren't on his level but possibly on the same plane as him, including his son. He acknowledges these fighters where before he'd brush them off. They might not yet deserve his respect but they at least warrant his acknowledgement. On top of that He's been spending time with baki and the others meaning maybe they're starting to have an effect on him
