Fun video, Dean. I wanted to tuck our dish under the roof to keep snow off, but the DirecTV mount was too long and had too much curve to fit where I needed it. I got some same-size exhaust tubing and welded up a 90 degree elbow that fit just right. Next time I had DirecTV out for an upgrade, the guy said all the installers in the area have seen my mount and talk about it--and wish they had them in their inventory.

This was an interesting project and it looks great mounted on your house. Our network is not good enough for streaming. I am pleased your dad is improving, it must have been a difficult few months

Hunting putting dish up of course hunting very good excuse I had a stroke 15 years ago bad one I'm 63 now I'm back to hunting and fishing here in Washington The hot water pool with the YMCA doing my exercises in there really help me a lot about moving around m thanks for the good video

Baseball and hockey - one each on either side of the boredom scale. 😂 Give me a good hockey game any day. We've been DirecTV subscribers for decades. Lately when the weather has made the satellite signal poor, it automatically switches to streaming on the DVR.

Had to do this myself at the beginnning of the summer, but since I didn't need it up higher for clearance, I was able to mount it lower on the corner of the house where it is mostly protected by the eaves of the roof from snow...we'll see how well it works in a few more months... If nothing else, it's easier to reach with my snow-clearing stick.

Nice beefy mount. It shouldn't go anywhere. Yeah I am not a fan of putting holes in your roof either. Glad your Dad's health is improving.
