Cutting The Line - Trailer [Extended]

Cutting The Line follows husband and wife team, Naude and Katja Dreyer, and their three children as they embark on a mission to rescue seals entangled in deadly plastic pollution along the Namibian coastline. What begins as a few spur-of-the-moment rescues quickly evolves into a unique environmental organization that finds itself pitted against a mounting global crisis.
Cutting the Line premieres online on June 8 2023, World Oceans Day, and will be available to watch through Vimeo On Demand, after which it will start showing on the international film festival circuit.
Vimeo is a trusted on-demand platform. All it will require is a quick sign-up and a small payment for you to view the premiere. Why do you have to pay? If the film is aired for free online, it won’t be eligible for film festivals or any potential broadcast or streaming distribution in the future. Some of the adult Seals are huge and can drag the men along the beach. They must be extremely dangerous too. Hats off to these brave people who go out day after day to rescue these animals from being choked or starved to death from materials wrapped round them Thank you for risking yourselves to save these beautiful creatures.

Of course we all love the trailer and are counting the days until we can see the finished product (5!) The trick is to convince those who don't even believe there is a problem to watch, and to understand that plastic pollution and animal entanglements are not limited to Namibia, but are a major concern everywhere in the world. I know you feel like the work you do to save entangled seals is just a drop in the bucket , but the hope is that people who watch will be inspired to do something wherever they are to make a difference for the oceans.
