You should have explained that the way the handle knobs face shows you what way the water flows and how the position you put it in shows it is off, and how it works for other items....like the propane line on your heater, or your gas grill, the louvers in your furnace outtakes duct work to the rooms, and so on......

Amazing work, I really want to change my taps, but I live with in-laws so highly unlikely. My dad was smart but not really a dad or people sort of person even though I sorta followed his footsteps. Would you use Teflon tape/fluid or not? It's something I always taught in college. I used it on a leaky shower head (oright was old and torn), and it had so much more pressure afterwards.
@brianl5631 Жыл бұрын
Better to wrap teflon tape around the metal pipe threads (where the water-in lines attach to the faucet) before you put the faucet on the sink. Teflon tape makes a better seal (prevents leaks!) between the two metal pipes being connected.

@alexchernakov86953 ай бұрын

“Kids”, a dad assist here…you will note “Dad” is using channel lock pliers to loosen some of these nuts. That’s ok! He’s allowed. He’s an uncertified an experienced pro. We amateurs should avoid using channel lock pliers unless it’s an emergency or a last resort. We should all have a variety of metric and standard combination (box and crescent end) wrenches as well as a small, medium and large adjustable crescent wrench. And if you are going to do a lot of plumbing work, go ahead and get an XL adjustable crescent wrench…aka, the Monkey Wrench! The first rule of ANY job is having the right tool(s).
