I found a farmers market where they sell these. they are really amazing, better then the very orange colored sweet potato grown in the US

I’ve only seen the orange ones in Scotland. They go quite mushy.

@@buffys3477 yeah, they need to be stored in a very dry area. They sprout quickly as well. I will say tho, the leaves/plant on the american sweet potato are very nice in to like hnaging basket or off the side of a balcony. they are a very dark green large leaf

The color and quality of sweet potatoes vary depending on the location. I also learned this for the first time. Japanese sweet potatoes are very dry and hard, and have a high sweetness, so in Japan they are often eaten as sweets like this Daigaku imo.
