Time to Stand Up For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes-the Jew first and also the Gentile. -Romans 1:16- We’re living in a time when people are standing up for all sorts of causes. And in some cases, people are even willing to lay down their lives for what they believe in. Isn’t it time that we, as Christians, stand up for what we believe? It seems to me that at a time when so many are standing up for so many causes, there are many in the church who are not standing up for anything. We are embarrassed. We are ashamed. But it’s time to stand up and be counted. The apostle Paul wrote, “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes-the Jew first and also the Gentile” (Romans 1:16) Are you ashamed of the gospel of Christ? We must be especially watchful in this area of denying the Lord, because the Bible tells us that it’s something that will happen in the last days. Many who once acknowledged Jesus Christ will ultimately deny Him. One of the signs of the last days is that there will be a great apostasy, or a falling away. Some will fall from the faith, Timothy says, and “follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons” (1 Timothy 4:1) Yet in the times in which we are living when we have violence at an unprecedented level, who do we often see vilified on television, in movies, and in the press? It’s people of faith. At best, they portray those who believe in God and have certain moral principles as kooks or feeble-minded dolts. And at worst, they blame them for the problems that our society is facing. Ironically, these very problems, which are the result of our society’s rejection of God, are then placed at the feet of Christians, as though we have brought them on our culture. You can say anything. You can believe in anything. But if you stand up and say, “There are absolutes. There is right and wrong, and the Bible says so,” you’re labeled as a crazed fanatic who’s hurting our society. However, this isn’t the first time in history that Christians have been made scapegoats for the ills of a culture. When Caesar Nero was largely responsible for the burning of Rome, he laid the blame at the feet of the Christians, although they had nothing to do with it. It isn’t right. It isn’t fair. But it’s part of being a disciple of Jesus. It’s part of the Christian life, although it isn’t something that any of us enjoy. Yet Jesus said, “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matthew 5:11-12) Wear it as a badge of honor. Remember, you’re in good company. Don’t be ashamed of the gospel of Christ.

I like that you mention that you value your time over the extra money from overtime. Yes! I used to work so much overtime in my previous job, and though I made a lot of money, which over time, got spent on things that I thought I needed, I got physically sick from the long hours. Not only were my old job cold with me about taking just a few days off to recuperate from what was a stomach infection, but I realised, should the worst happen, those guys would replace me in like a week, unlike my family, who would never recover from losing me. It totally changed my perspective to work, and now I just work the hours that are stated in my contract and I complete the duties written in the job description. Great video! I like the relaxed vibe you have in each video

Good for you! Too many people are literally killing themselves for a job that couldn't care less about them (other than being inconvenienced if they need time off), we are pretty much ALL just disposable "widgets" that can be replaced very quickly! There are other, more important things that people need to protect their precious time for besides just work, that is for SURE.

I have always valued my personal time to do whatever i like outside the job. Since the very beginning watching the hour to leave the company. Of course i was not able to do a great career as they value time spent working. But i have never felt like do so and always knew everyone can be replaced anytime they want.

Hi, yes i am totoally amazed at the carrots too. Individually wrapped each carrot with so awsome plastic bag!! And yes when they looks exactly like the other.. they must certainly be naturally grown. Come on JAPAN!!! Come on people!! Its nice video, but that part in grocery and when she put stuuf from bag is disguisting. (that plastic bags) And little bit confused. 1 carrott , 3-4 pappers in plastic bags. Apples in plastic bags by 4... whyyyy?? and besides you have that same applle without bag. Onions, avocado too.. . We dont need so much plastics, i think any vegetable, fruits needs plastics, our planet too. Yea i understand, looks really cute, that carrot.. but its wrong. I am sorry but that is really wrong.
@mrs_mim739 ай бұрын
@@kudLo6 hey... you misunderstood me. I don't think all the plastic is good... and these carrots that always look exactly the same... they look somehow unnatural 🫣 maybe I worded it wrong. I also think that there is far too much packaging waste there. Apparently a lot is recycled but... what isn't produced doesn't have to be recycled, right? 🙂

My health changed last year and I'm slowing things down to "smell the coffee" as the saying goes. Thank you for sharing your life with us. We hope that you continue to have nice experiences, like visiting your friend in Tokyo and walking in that beautiful park. Virtual hugs back from Canada.

Thank you for another lovely video! Thank you for spending so much time making them. I am so proud of you for taking such good care of yourself: eating healthy, going to the gym, and not working too much! Your new jewelry is stunning, and it looks very beautiful on you. 🙂❤ I really enjoyed the castle in Tokyo, and the sights and sounds of the festival were really fun and special. I hope you have a very good week! 🙂❤

I enjoy your videos! Thank you so much for sharing your life with us all. I am a chef and I would to help and offer up some advice. When marinating chicken, it should be fully thawed and for best results stored in a ziploc bag or vacuum bag with the air pushed out. 30 minutes isn’t enough time for a marinade to take and it is ideal to let it marinate overnight. I hope this helps ❤

Hello Lou ... ... and followers! I am a 70-year-old guy from Switzerland, living alone, watching your vid's from time to time. 2016 my ex-wife dumped me, after 43 years of being married, the morning following the night, her mother passed away. Since then, I have been in search of a new life and your channel has been so much inspirational to me. It seems to me, every gesture, every movement, even every breath in your vid's, are the pure concentration of perceiving life and what it is all about! Both our cultures couldn't be different more, yet I see and feel so much closeness. Ultimately - when watching your vid's - the basic meaning of life pops into my thoughts. You are young and pretty, I am "old" and "used", life has left its traces in my face and my soul! You should have family, kids, and a bunch of friends in your life, around you. Yet, I feel so much loneliness - in these vid's -, the same loneliness, senselessness, and meaninglessness, I can feel in my life! People are not "designed" to live alone, they need "vis-à-vis", wherein they can mirror themselves. This loneliness - with a touch of desperation - already came over "Adam" in paradise, when he asked God to give him a companion. So "Eve" showed up in his life, where problems started to arise! But he felt not alone anymore! That's probably one good explanation, of why women are better at living alone than men do! Each and every move of yours is an experience of a moment in time, whereas - in my case - it is an effort and a challenge to accept things the way they are!

@SecretSquirrel-xk1ik : It is a great misconception, that human beings can live alone! They can not!!! This already started back in paradise, where Adam was begging and paying, GOD may give him a companion. Most people living alone, are "forced" into this situation by circumstances of their lives, and less by their free will. We human beings need each other, to mirror ourselves in the eyes of the people around us. All loners, living alone, are regularly falling into deep inner crises, in which they are sad, feel lonely, feel useless and start to question life, and slowly slide into depressions! ... Why do most of the loner people wish they'd live in a partnership? And they flee a life alone, the earliest moment
@SecretSquirrel-xk1ik5 ай бұрын
@@josefbuman3875 she's not alone she said she has family and friends. If you think everyone needs to live in a partnership that's ridiculous. How about men and women who have lost their spouse and go on and live a happy content life? Not everyone needs to be paired up. And if you're referencing the Bible, I guess you didn't see this part: 1 Corinthians 7:8-9 in the Bible says, "To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single, as I am. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion
