Amen to that. I went to Europe about a few days after my dad left (deployed for a year after just returning a couple months). I was calling my mom to check in and she said she had a surprise for me. I broke down in front of my roommates when I heard my dad's voice (ship returned to port for a repair).

@The Clown Let me give you an analogy. Just because a Taliban burglar goes to house A, Does it make it allright for a USA burglar to rob house B? Wrong means wrong. Even if it means the Taliban. If what you say is true (that Taliban also kills the innocent), im fine being on your side. But dont defend the USA just because they're from USA. Truth is truth. We call a spade a spade, regardless of their race or religion.
@trafficmonsoonacademy562

@Man U 4EVA The truth hurt ain't it? There may be groups of men in the US Army that has integrity and valor - but on the whole, the US administration and their army is a threat and a torn to world peace. You must remember this. On the Day of Judgement.... everyone will be compensated for their deeds. And looking at those involve in the invasion and oppresion of other countries, I look forward to Judgement Day with glee. May God punish those who are responsible for the murders (including Talibans😉) And may God forgive and protect those men who fight to protect the Truth, the innocent and the weak (including the USA soldiers).😉

I'd love to be in the military, feel quite the calling to it. But I have kids and I see these reunions and I know I'm not strong enough to leave my kids. A lot of respect for these men and even more for the ones who didn't get to come back and be a dad. I dont know that level of strength.

Same here, friend. And, as much as I had a brilliant example to follow in the footsteps of, I never had the right direction from my dad to operate _right_ in the world, and I was always confused or angry why that had to be so. I reckon it's taken me having kids to realise why he did it. And what our fathers went through for us. I'm 27 years old... my father did 28 years service before medical discharge a couple years back, so You can imagine how much overlap there was. But, I love that man, and I hope you still love your father. Everyone should. Because, together it's their sacrifice and our determination that keeps our civilisation safe. Thank you for _your_ service, sir! Long weeks waiting for a letter or that phone to ring shouldn't go unrewarded.

I will never forget my son returning home the first time, and meeting him at the airport..the pride, the immense love, the sheer thankfulness of him just being there again. And him embarrassed, that some sweet lady would not let a hero pay for his own Skittles on his way home. L♡L. I love humans. They're my favorite..🇺🇸🌍
