Lexa is a awesome super badass reel. Just remember. When u buy one clean it n lube it before taking it out. If not then ull start hearing the bearings at the retrieve n when casting.

I'll tell ya about a reel that works it's ass off and like a timex just keeps going, and I don't break down but "maybe" once a year....The Shimano Triton 100 & 200. Of course not a casting style reel. But a super work horse. I have 20 of them! Yep, even my Shimano Curado's old and newer need a cleaning and are nasty inside after saltwater fishing. But just ordered 4 Lexa 300's for charter reels. Shimano's are so expensive, I'm moving toward Daiwa's. The Saltist 20HC made me a Daiwa man now. Wow what a great saltwater high speed durable reel!

thats awesome to hear bud.. Yea shimano's have been really good to me and for me. The more and more i use other products and brands i keep going back to shimano.,. But i did love the daiwa lexa series

d rouse Have you taken a reel apart before? And more important have you taken that reel apart before? If you have and you are comfortable it’s pretty straight forward and easy

I havent taken this reel apart but have torn down the old round Ambassaduers a lot .

d rouse if you have a camera you could set it up while you take it apart so you know exactly how it goes back together . But other than that just keep everything in order and try your best to remember where all the parts go

What's the difference In the normal Lexa 300 and the inshore? Will they both hold up just as we'll to salt water? So far the only difference I have noticed is the power handle

The Lexa 100 has got to be the biggest piece of crap I've ever owned. Day one out of the box it was junk.

I've been using Daiwa reels since 1990. I got a Ballistic 2500 in March and it was also junk right out of the box. Something is seriously wrong at Daiwa. Luckily Tackle Warehouse has a great return policy.
