I think that the maintenance off Overclock was too much for AfO to handle so he stored up the quirk with his doctor where the doc bio engineered the precursors to high end Nomu’s, well besides Kurogiri think he was being tweaked on nearly yearly to have him operate on this level, and stuffed Overclock into 6 to see if how it would stick and sees it’s a bit off a hassle to quickly use it in quick succession off each use. Then as the doctor must’ve been spending years finalizing a more streamlined version off it a certain bunny girl ram into his lab and destroyed the quirk before Shigaraki utterly disintegrated whatever’s left off it, least that’s my theory

@@DanExclaims I believe so yes, I mean just look at how Shigaraki destroyed pretty much EVERYTHING around him, thou I would actually like it if they did managed to held onto it but I feel that the doctor kept all his “treasured” quirks closer to himself meaning inside that lab that both Mirko and Shigaraki completely annihilated in the war arc, this guy is like what, 160 years old?! If I was that old and working with what essentially is an immortal I would do the same! Plus we don’t know the full extent off every quirk, like yes New Order managed to get the jump on AfO and his quirk cause it was pretty OP as fuck but who’s to say that Overclock not only needs an excessive amount off air but maybe it may need more specific vitamins and minerals to activate and maintain it’s use, All for One is an amalgamation off many different quirks and personalities so thinking logically about it the more hero quirks AfO takes the more he needs to concentrate to maintain his own sanity so he would naturally dump some off, right?

I mean I wish it and more quirks are still there but I’m not exactly counting on it, plus Horikoshi is already doing an amazing job on giving us this picture off this type off world, imagine what all off MHA would’ve been if certain events were different, maybe in another timeline Overclock would actually be used by AfO and we all would practically be doomed, right?

It’s not likely and being honest I wonder what happened to the doctor, I mean if AfO is really technically dying right now does his death affect others or what? Cause it may affect others who gotten his quirks from AfO cause he’s got such a high dunk off himself it wouldn’t really surprise me, right?

O'Clock was destroyed with number 6 at the end of Vigilantes. AFO didn't want to use the quirk right away because he wanted to test it because it used too much time to recuperate if it's used too much.

The Overclock quirk does give superspeed. Yes, the way it works is a large consumption of oxygen to supercharge the brain, but this in turn is having his circulatory system move much faster. His brain is sending signals to his muscles far more quickly than normal. And while you may argue, "that still isn't super speed." I rebuttal that if the effect of the quirk allows his body to move superhumanly faster than an average person, then yes, that IS super speed. If it only made him see things more slowly, but his body didn't have super speed, then he'd see things happening but his body wouldn't be able to keep up with his mind and he wouldn't be able to react. He'd just see the bullets move really slow and his arms move even slower, he'd just die in slow motion from his POV.

My guess is the only copy of o'clock went to number 6. As for the Nomu, i think its possible the quirk wouldn't be compatible since most of them are braindead monsters. It is strange that AFO wouldnt have a copy of o'clock but to be fair he also gave the only known version of decay to shigaraki instead of making copies and giving them to nomu

@@DanExclaims Shigaraki was similar to Deku, reached an age where it seemed like he'd be among the unlucky few to not have a quirk. We see in chapter 235 of the MHA manga that Shigaraki was late one day and a gentleman helped lead him home. The outline of the strange man in the doorway looked awfully similar to AFO. Lo and behold, decay manifested shortly thereafter. Although it's speculation, I think the man was AFO who managed to give Shigaraki the quirk w/o his knowing. It's just too convenient that he encountered a guy who looks like AFO, decay manifests, his family dies, then AFO finds him all alone. It all seems premeditated. Especially considering AFO knew Shigaraki was Nana Shimoras grandchild

@@ian7064This goes along with the “red shoe theory” Deku and all might (in his younger years) are the only characters who wore red shoes exclusively, probably because the extra toe joint quirkless people have. However we also see shigaraki wearing red shoes, implying he has that same foot difference. This supports the idea that Shigaraki, like Deku, was quirkless at first but given decay by afo. Thanks for bringing it up! Not many people know about the “quirkless shiggy” theory

@@tastefullyoffensive2412 It's one of the more clever parallels Horikoshi put in the story. I agree that it's weird more fans don't know about it. The panel in ch 235 that shows who I believe to be AFO is a small, blink and you'll miss it, type panels. I've brought it up to friends who have read the manga and several of them just glanced over it w/o realizing the potential significance. Obv it's just speculation but given how strategic AFO is I don't think it's a coincidence he just happened to know to look for a now orphaned and homeless Shigaraki who had just wiped out his family after conveniently developing a quirk after conveniently running into a guy who looks like AFO

Tldr; Horikoshi didn't think it through. People keep forgetting that MHA is his first success, and that a lot of the plotholes are purely due to Horikoshi being inexperienced. Toriyama learned really quick to just focus on a simple story on things he liked. Araki pioneered how to keep things fresh via creating a world to tell interesting stories in, and resetting that world when certain stories are unable to be told in it. Miura did everything he could to depict a specific vision and message with such an intense attention to detail that some people blame his death on it. Horikoshi just happened to create the new Naruto Shippuden, and is doing what he can to keep the story afloat.

I think afo give no°6 a copy of o'clock and gave shiggy the original o'clock quirk and we will have a fight like flash vs reverse flash in justice leauge flashpoint paradox Also, i have a theory i've had since the reveal of 2nd user quirk and that is the second user of ofa is an ancestor of o'clock There are a few similarties, i would like to point out: Both got there scars from afo and the scar are very similar albeit inverted of one another Both have attack were the hit an object with several hits in rapid sucesssion The weakness about the depriving oxygen is very similar to gear shift weakness.

Cause it’s the Bag of Holding situation, sure you have an item that can help, but you have to dig through a massive storage space crammed with other stuff and all the items are actively trying to beat each other cause some of them hate the other one

If I had to guess, based on the qualities of the quirk. It might interfere with Shigaraki's Multi-Processing to use the Overclock quirk. Either completely disabling his ability to use multiple quirks or possibly even overwhelming him entirely based on it being a cognitive quirk.

Wouldn’t being able to process information but not move at super speed just make you a really smart statue? Because yes in your mind you can process and understand things really fast but that doesn’t increase the movement of your body. Knowing a bullet is flying towards my face doesn’t make me fast enough to dodge it 😭

… that’s how flash works. Flash can percieve as little as an attosecond, so he can perceive the entire existence of the universe in less than a second. An attosecond is to a second what a second is to 31 billion years

Well without some way to constantly feed oxygen to himself I don’t think he would be able to maintain the quirk, and since he destroys everything around him something like an O2 tank would get destroyed too

It's basically the other side of the coin, to hysterical strength. If you were in 100% control of the IRL ability, you could, for one, dodge most if not all _airsoft_ shots, that you _see_ coming. You could block, dodge or redirect any attacks you see coming, even from more experienced fighters- basically being able to swat their hands away. More practically for us nerds, though? You'd be able to handle almost any ingame reaction-time checks. If you're athletic & thin enough, you might even be able to use this to run along a brick wall, for a brief period. Maybe not enough to clear a fence, or reach a 2nd floor ledge, but still. It's street level at best, being able to use time dilation, and it STILL leaves you vulnerable to surprises.

2 possible answers: - AFO lost access to it, after giving it to that inteligent 1 nomu/homunculous - AFO used it on most of his fights, but after USA's N#1 superstar gave all of AFO's quirks a personality, Overclock's probably acting like an ever present brain tumor

Its so fucking stupid to want the villain to beat the MC. MHA has been 6 seasons already and its near the end in the manga. If the creator decides to add to the story then yeah maybe your idea of Villains winning may help the story be prolonged but just saying you want the villain to beat the MC makes it seem like you don't want the protagonist to progress in his final moments he built up to and all the sacrifices he made just to lose to an insurmountably strong quirk... so yeah, no, screw that... Make your own manga if you wanna screw the MC.
