Dangerous? Scafell Pike from Wasdale via Mickledore Wainwright

The walk up Scafell Pike via Mickledore is an alternative route up Scafell Pike from Wasdale, sharing the initial climb with the more popular Wasdale Path up Brown Tongue. At Hollow Stones, the path (one of many) heads on directly to the obvious col at Mickledore rather than heading off left.
Once at Mickledore, where you have Broad Stand to your right - an absolute barrier to the walker who wants to climb Scafell directly and strictly off-limits to non-climbers. The final ascent up Scafell Pike from Mickledore can be found by following a path to the left as you arrive at Mickledore.

Hi, how long did it take you to ascend from the carpark up through Mickledore to the summit? And what time did you start, was it a weekday and, finally, what month was it? Thanks, great video. I'm thinking of doing this route this month, september 2024!

Hi i did this exact route and it was very tough especially the steep gully ive done snowdon and imo i thought this was harder ( I did the rhyd ddu path ) well done to you both it was your video that inspired me to take this route so thanks

I really wish they would get on and invent a way to change my body for a younger one as I really miss my hikes and moutain climbs for 40 yrs ago. Now I just get to enjoy others doing what I yearn for, recreating my past hikes and long distance hike from the later 1970s and 1980s. Tony the Retired Hiker in Essex.
