Thank you for this! I ONLY have an iPad, no other apple devices and forgot my passcode the day after I set it up. I haven't even gotten to really USE it yet! Resetting the password alone without having other devices was a 3 week process and then to reset the passcode was a nightmare.... everything on the support website was terrible! hi Daniel .. I forgot my passcode and at the same time, I entered another Apple ID to my Ipad pro M1, and it logged in successfully, but then the problem of the passcode started ! I used the same method you r using in this vid, but the ipad keeps returning to the disable screen and asking for the passcode, the question is: which account shall i log in for iTunes ? the old account that has been connected with the iPad for months now ? or the least account I connected the iPad with ?

I only have a Windows PC (Windows 7) and have installed iTunes v12.10.11 but when I click on the Restore iPad... button in iTunes it says To restore your iPad with iPadOS 15.6.1 you need to install the latest version of iTunes??? If I try check for updates in iTunes it says iTunes (12.10.11) is the latest version. How can I fix this?

I appreciate this video, but it didn't work for me. I'm a PC tech and my client has an iPad that was stuck at "iPad is disabled / connect to iTunes". To complicate matters, the person who set it up (thus the only person who knows anything about it, including the Apple ID credentials) left the company a while ago. I was able to follow the instructions in this video to get the iPad into recovery mode and update the iPad software (iPadOS 15.3.1), going through the download process, "Updating iPad software", "Updating iPad firmware", and "Verifying updated iPad software". However, when the iPad automatically rebooted after iTunes stage "Verifying updated iPad software", it booted to message "iPad Unavailable / try again in 58 minutes". I waited an hour and tried to access it, but it prompted for the passcode. I stepped through the restore process again and it successfully restored it to factory settings that time, but now I can't proceed through the setup because it's linked to an Apple ID and "Find My iPhone" was enabled, so it stops at the Activation Lock screen. I guess it's now a nice, expensive paperweight.
