Your videos are so personable, as if you are directly across from your audience having a conversation. How wonderful! That’s a skill not every vlogger has achieved and you are a natural! Thank you for remaining authentic, Diane.💝

I so enjoy catching up on these unique Danish traditions for Christmas! I have been tuning in while doing my morning exercise at the gym😉A GREAT motivator for me to keep putting one foot in front of the other, literally! A few of our family Christmas traditions are:*** walking a tree farm to choose and cut down a tree🌲 around the end of Nov*** Drinking🍶 egg nog after returning home from candlelight 💒church service on Christmas Eve***Hubby prepaing a crockpot 🍳🧀breakfast casserole on Christmas Eve to wake up to on Christmas Day...mmmm..the smell of peppers 🌶& sausage & potatoes***And, on some years, DD17 and I bake and decorate butter sugar cookies to look like little Santa's. I also have a divine recipe for cherry 🍒🍒🍞danish rolls🤑🤗😍 P.S. I just LOVE the idea of holding hands around the Christmas🌲 tree, how joyful!! Mmm the smell of pine and fir trees, nutmeg in the nog, and peppermint ice 🍧cream 🍭** Merry Christmas **🍭

Gosh, that all sounds lovely, Julie. Especially the Danish cherry rolls...have no clue what those are but I LOVE cherries!

Thank you, Diane :) Thank you, Olwyn in Australia :) I will post the recipe here for everyone! They are simply a sweet roll, like a cinnamon roll from IKEA (smiles), except, instead of cinnamon, they have a cherry-filled center. When I get better at IG, maybe I can be like you and share some food pics. Here it is: www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/overnight-cherry-danish

Olwyn N, thank you! I have shared the recipes here for the sweet items; the breakfast casserole...well, my husband sort of throws that together on his own so it is a little of this and a little of that, but oh, so good :) haha

Watched this in February 2024 and I will say you have succeeded in training us. I can't sit and watch a Diane in Denmark video any longer. I have to be up doing SOMETHING. Today I folded laundry and cleaned out the fridge. Thanks for instilling good habits in us.

O, Diane, just "got back from Belgium" with you. So very enjoyable. Now going on a journey with you during the holidays. I am so very blessed. Do not change a thing on your presentations. They are such a blessing to me. Thank you once again Diana from California. Blessings.

Hi Diane, it's Nov 6 of 2018 and I just made the Snaps to be ready for Christmas. Also have the British Christmas Cake in the oven with an hr and a half to go! Feeling on top of things thanks to your Cruising thru the Holidays videos and encouragement! Doing the pistachio/cranberry freezer fudge next - that went over really well last yr! Also want to do the cookie dough that FlyLady Marla taught us this yr. Will be so nice to have all of this done ahead of time!

Is it not important to sterilise the bottles first Diane? Love your videos x
@DianeinDenmark7 жыл бұрын
Aww, thank you so much, Mandy! It's 40% alcohol (not jam/chutney which will be sitting for a long time, etc) so I do my bottles in the dishwasher on a high heat but if you are worried about it, go ahead and sterilise 'properly'.

Thanks. Hmm. Would liked to have seen you top up the cake. Also, for some reason, the film has everything backwards like your kitchen is in reverse. Kind of weirded me out as I am use to seeing window behind our other shoulder. Silly technolgy. No idea why things get reversed.
