It would actually be smart to seek advice from managers who are actually you know several thousand times more talented, savvy and actually won titles as opposed to nothing in Southgate's case. Bent saying that these managers dont have "international managerial experience" is pure nonsense, its still football, there still players and tactics are being used there is no doubt in my mind that the best club managers would absolutely take this England squad and make them a huge threat as opposed to the luck based result we saw the other day against Slovakia. Either take Foden or Bellingham off. Foden doesn't have the players available to him in England that he does at City. The only way to play them both is to play a 442 diamond but you NEED a left footed full back who can cover the entire wing for the whole game. We have enough right footed full backs to make it happen. The correct choice was to play Carrick, Hargreaves and one of either Scholes/Gerrard/Lampard in the 10

If people think he (or others) has no CV as an International team manager, then we would never get the best like Alf Ramsey, Tele Santana, Rinus Michels, Helmut Schon, Caesar Menotti, Franz Beckenbauer, and so on. They never had that experience before, but was given a chance. Yes, it isn't always work. Some failed, like: Keegan, Maradona, or Klinsmann. At least worth to try.

Gareth’s a thinker. He has his own philosophy and we finally saw that come through during those last few moments of the Slovakia match. It’s onwards and upwards now, and I hear from the training camp that the lads are chomping at the bit.
