But, unfortunately, I have seen people push many, many people towards romantic relationships, and I have been pushed unwilling towards romantic relationships myself. It's been a huge source of anxiety, as someone who isn't interested in dating, to be pressed into thinking I had to, and it took a lot to realize I *didn't* have to, because so many say that being in a romantic relationship is better than not being in one and it's always the end goal for happiness. I told someone "I don’t want to date" once and they replied with "dont worry, you'll find someone!"... I was not uncalm when I wrote that comment, simply stating my own perspective, which, of course, is colored by my own experiences and personality. So if you have another perspective that's fine, but saying I'm glad people are supportive of their friendship hurts literally no one, and it's important to me and genuinely makes me happy because of what I've been through.

Please, dear god, review Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, especially interviews from 2017-18 and then in 2019. They’re adamant about never dating, but their connection is INSANE. They were ice skating partners for 22 years, so they should have a connection, but the tension and LOVE in their eyes is something you barely even see in happily married couples.
