Dating is Broken.

So you’ve done the dating app thing, matchmaking, tried going to fitness classes, asked your friends to set you up and you’re still single?!
Beware of falling into the trap of believing, “nothing works!” Or “modern dating is impossible!”
Just because you’ve tried something a few times and it didn’t “work” (as in deliver an instant result) doesn’t mean it won’t ever work. Perhaps you need to change how you’re engaging with it (whether that’s dating apps, or meeting people IRL) or perhaps you just need to give it more time.
There’s no “abrakadabra” with dating, sometimes you’ve just got to keep trying.
2. Instead draw up a list of spaces / places you could try and challenge yourself to think of one reason why it could work.
3. Finally think of one thing you could get out of going to those places even if you don’t meet someone awesome right away.
It’s this practice of constantly finding your motivation that will deliver results in your dating life.

I don't think you understand how most of the guy's think. Its all about ROI, return of investment. Imagine you are investing a significant portion of your time, energy ( emotional and physical) and money in dating, but the returns are very marginal, would you be motivated to keep trying? When you realize the results are not only failing to meet the bare minimum for satisfaction, but giving you anxiety, depression etc, would it motivate you to keep doing the same thing? If not, what is that motivating factor that keeps you moving forward? I'm not expecting a good answer here, because the avg woman has way better experience than the avg guy when it comes to dating. I don't expect people who are not in our shoes to empathize with anything.

I'm honestly baffled that people listen to these "professional" dating coaches. Most of the stuff they say are things the avg person already knows or once believed but discarded after they found it useless. People are at a stage where they don't care about words and empty promises anymore, what they want to see is actual results, involving them. Can these dating coaches make that happen? If it were that simple, if it was just an individually fixable problem, there wouldn't be a dating crisis and lot of people saying "dating is broken".
