Paul still commits to his songs. Saw him a week ago at an outdoor event in Virginia. During his visitation to his flock (us) during Sanctify, he spotted a corner perch on the 2nd floor of an outdoor deck, went upstairs, then climbed up and stood on top of the deck rail to witness to us. It was not a safe way to sing to an audience. But he's all in, all the time.

I'll often wear to a concert a music teeshirt I think is sympatico to the performer. To Paul Janeway and his Broken Bones a week ago I wore a Big Brother and the Holding Company teeshirt. During the concert, tho, I thought, Janis isn't a bad parallel. But a James Brown tee would have been a better choice.
@charlesbronson34597 ай бұрын
@@bartlebyscrivener2980 I like that idea: paul swallowed james brown and janis joplin!

I wish this clip included the pep talk David Letterman gave the band asking them to give it their all before this performance, because they delivered. This is a true send off to Dave!
@jemcee975 ай бұрын
If I'm thinking of the same thing you are that was actually a different song that was on the actual Late Show where I think this was after the show and not televised.. Could be wrong though
@genrushrАй бұрын
@@jemcee97 Sorry for the late reply, ya you are right. Notice Letterman says "another time" with the band. They originally played Half the City I think which was televised. Which was a good performance but David wanted more, gave them a 'pep' talk, then they performed this which was much more raw and emotional. **If I'm remembering correctly.
