Hi Caroline...Hi everyone...welcome to week 6...we are now half way to being epic!! I have really enjoyed the first five weeks and am looking forward to the challenges to come!! Today’s looks really good but hard...10 minute sequences will be challenging! One of the many things I love about this series is how the workouts are always so varied and interesting and the exercises so well thought out. As a guy who was borderline anorexic a year ago, I completed 75% of this workout... Thanks a lot for this, I really needed something like this to make my training planned and consistent. I guess on the 3-4th try I will complete it whole with less rest than this time

Well done one gil. I hope this programme provides the ability to bulk and build up to a healthier weight. I got on the scales this morning after weeks of bulking through insulin resistance due to medication even though following a healthy lifestyle and diet and last week starting my 8 weeks diabetes diet program after testing my blood sugars. 1.8kg weight loss for week one. Really pleased. Random BMs testing this week. So pleased I can now do a proper pushup yesterday. Best wishes

I know that I'm late for the party. Just started the epic program this winter. I was using 10 lb weights because that's all I had. I got 15 lb weights for Christmas and this was my first workout using them. I thought it would be too hard but I was actually smiling halfway through the workout. Feeling strong! (and almost 60 years old)

These workouts are great for every age! I’m 60 and nailed the whole workout but I’m used to using heavy weights and pushing myself. I did modify the weights to 12 & 15 lbs. tho. Next time I’ll aim for what Caroline uses. I have viewed so many other workouts for the last several years and CG your workouts rule far above all the others in my opinion and I bet everyone else agrees! These are strenuous challenging routines I believe but that’s what I want. Thank GOD for you Caroline Girvan! Since my gym has been closed due to the pandemic you lifted my pandemic experience to a much better place where nothing else would do. Heck even if my gym was open I’d still rather do Caroline Girvan’s workouts. I do warm up 10 to 15 minutes before I begin which I recommend beforehand and so does Caroline. I love Redefining Strengths warm up routines as well as Caroline’s. Everyone who thinks this is too hard (even the 60 and above crowd) just modify where you need to, use less weights or no weights at all until you master the move bcuz using good form is of higher priority or else risk injury. I nearly turned this off half way through the first set of excercises due to the sheer amount of reps but I gave myself a talking to and saw Caroline’s determination and went through to the end with 10kg weights and I’m so glad I did. At the start of this I couldn’t do multiple reps with 10kgs now I can.. thank you Caroline. Today was an achievement for me 😘💪🏻👊🏻👌🏻 keep going everyone we are doing amazingly

Hey Caroline, as I was doing the pull overs I recognized my “core” engaging - how COOL, thought I :) - Through your workout series I am becoming SO aware of my body and the amazing thing happening with every move and repetition. I would NEVER have done this without your series. Words cannot say thanks enough. I’m getting closer to 33 where I will jump back in from my last loop before I had to stop due to an illness. I believe with all my heart that my symptoms would have been devastating had I not already been strong from the first 33 days. I see so many people around me in my life who unfortunately are falling apart physically and my greatest DESIRE is to INSPIRE, and I am every grateful to point them to you and your good sense series. I am also a NHS worker. Everyone who supports their family is a key worker. We applied much more informed consent to work in conditions like these, have access to tons of resources for physical, mental, financial support, and privileged enough to still earn a paycheck at a living wage during a time when millions are left struggling. Caroline is absolutely a key worker- and so is every damn person who supports their families.

Of the 4 complexes, I find the 1st one was very challenging; due to those push-ups. I had to pause the video, set my own 10 minute timer on my phone and went as my own pace as Carol suggested. I think I had tried my hardest today. For each of the push-up, I literally had to summon all my stamina 🥵🥵🥵🥵, this is the 1st time I did 3x 5 consecutive pushups off my knees. I did really struggle but yay it was a great accomplishment. Thank you Carol for another EPIC workout❤️

Hi Ellie...I do hope that all is OK for you! It sounded like you were finding some of the workouts hard...is that what you were saying? If so I think this is just because the workouts are hard...what I would say is don't get too worried about what weights you use. Choose a weight that is challenging for you...but not where you struggle to lift it. And don't worry about doing fewer reps and taking breaks. It would be lovely if you could continue with this programme and as you say this is a lovely supportive community. We wouldn't want to lose you! As I say...make the workouts your own, listen to your body and do what challenges you rather than what exhausts you. I do hope this helps. All good wishes, Matthew

It's just me and my body. ☺ Caroline is the top best...superior as far as instruction, implementing exercises and sequence for the parts of the body and that those exercises complient the surround muscles as to not fatigue and stress any particular part. To be honest I've just had much inflammation in the body and not terrible but feel that I my body isn't able to repair as quickly and am in need more rest days. I know that sounds crazy when all this content is so good, the best. It's me. Thanks again. I'll be back. Just taking more rest days. Best success to you!

Awesome Ellie! and yes as Mathew suggested reduce the weights. I can lift heavier on the workouts but I always go one or two down to maintain form, reduce risk of injury and to not overdo it. Afew days rest inbetween is a perfect idea.. I hope you all ok cx

Hello Caroline - I'm so pleased that I've been dedicated to your workouts for going on 6 weeks. Today was tough! Last Monday I could barely walk after a weekend of hard yard work and your work out. I do have to modify pushups, use low weights, and go slow due to my 54 years. My knees get sore and the fast HIIT hurts too much. But I'm feeling stronger and my clothes are beginning to feel good again. Thank you for your gentle-natured, but super challenging workouts that keep me enthusiastic and excited to wake up and work out with you. Big wave back!

Caroline, I absolutely loved this style of workout. With the blocked style, timed structure!! I worked hard today! I’ve showered and still can’t stop sweating!! Caroline, your EPIC program is absolutely the best I've ever done. This day 26 was my strongest day. I kept up with you with the 20 lb weights and didn't have to take as many extra rests like I normally do. I pushed through it. I've feel stronger every day now 💪🏻

I am so excited to finish epic 1 so I can do 2, because I saw epic 3! Lol I can’t wait to do epic 3! The color of her outfit i the first one I saw gave me such an energy! And excitement. Yes it is the little changes and small details that can make u get so excited! Lol I have learned in 52 years to really enjoy the small pleasures!

That was a tough workout and I can finally do those plank-to-side-twist! First time I've been able to do it since beginning EPIC I. congratulations to all the commentor's who've broken challenges throughout the course. So proud of us for keeping on pushing through. Love to you Caroline. You rock!

Gotta watch form like Momma C said. It is so easy to round your shoulders and arch your back once the fatigue starts getting real. Better to take the extra rest and keep your lines right than risk injury. Very creative complexes, wish you guys luck!

I have to admit I was slightly nervous to start this workout being the segments were 10 minutes long, but after doing it, I have to say this is by far been my favorite! Every move well thought out, they flowed together beautifully. The variety kept me interested and the time just flew by. Caroline, you are an absolute genius. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from me and I'm sure everyone else here, for putting this program together and offering it to us for free! that is utterly amazing!

Just completed it! I know I say this all the time but I just loved it. The combination of exercises is fantastic. The 3rd round though, that was tough! Had to take 3 or 4 extra breaks during that set! Used my 6kg all the way through. Also you have a new admirer Caroline! My 6 year old daughter also completed the workout using my 2kg dumbbells! She loved it too and at the end said she wanted to do more! Thank you again for all your workouts. I so thoroughly enjoy them :)

☑️ This got me dripping with sweat like crazy. I really love today's session. Coz within tht 10mins i got to really focus & improve on my form. Will definitely do this again, after the prog ends.

I think this workout is my favorite so far. I was so sure that I wouldn't be able to do it but the exercises were "easy" enough to keep going for 10 minutes. It was a perfect mix of making it challenging but doable at the same time. I am so amazed by myself that I could actually keep up and I feel so sore aswell but in a good way :)

Thank you for this series! This is 1 of my favorite Epic workout days. I enjoy complexes. I also like that your doing the same set of exercises for a set period of time. It enables me to focus more on my form and less on watching the screen to see what is next. There is nothing wrong with repeating movements.

I've done all the Epic I series so far and today's workout was my absolute favourite so far. So well rounded and I loved pushing myself to work the ten minutes straight. Nothing gets boring with the variety in this program, well done!

Caroline my Caroline😅you never seize to amaze me, I loved everything about this workout, the complexity and challenge in this🤗 the first complex was more challenging but took my time executing every movement and yes I used the 10kg DB! Keep pushing us out of our comfort zone, as we're reaching for our body goals💪❤️

Thank you for always making me feel like a bada**! With this program, you have not only helped me to gain strength and muscle but you have also given me a much healthier view on fitness. You have steered me away from looking at any minor flaws that I felt I needed to fix and focus instead on just being proud of each workout and all of the progress I see. I can't thank you enough for helping me get over that. I sound very vain, but it is what it is. You are one of a kind- not many trainers are so down to earth. I COMPLETED DUMBBELL COMPLEX! This was the FIRST time I held onto DBs for 10 mins straight. 🔥 The first complex was the hardest to do. I can do the first complex twice it would be an awesome quick full-body burner. My favorite was the third complex. The snatches and push presses made me feel so powerful! 😆 Used 15lbs DBs. ✅10/26 By the way, my glutes are still sore!!! Could it be from last Wednesday’s glutes and Friday’s full body moves????! 😳 🍑

@@bethanybauk High five! We did it! The first complex was a torcher! But I got into the groove for the rest. I tried not to look at the countdown clock and just flow continuously through the moves. I can’t believe we held onto to weights for 10 mins straight. 😱 I hope she won’t do a 20 minutes complex like she mentioned in one of her previous post. 🤭

@@thyiff2219 💀 me too! That would be a mental killer for me! 😂 I really liked the third complex as well! Way to go with the 15lbs! I used 2-20lbs and 1-25 for the last set! First time using that weight (2-20lb) for that long (upper body) First time using 25 for pullovers! We. Are. Strong! 💪🏻👊🏻

@@bethanybauk WOWZA!!! You used Caroline’s weight ! 🦾🦾 And 25lbs for pullovers??! 👏 I won’t be there for a while. I usually would try to do 20lbs for lower body and 10lbs for upper. But I stuck with 15lbs for the whole duration. Caroline still smoked me with her reps for the first complex. 🤣 I don’t have 25lbs. My next weight is 30lbs. Should I try to find 25s? 🤔

I only found Caroline a couple of months ago from a comment someone put on the Lumen page on Facebook. I can't believe these workouts. They are so good and I'm completely hooked!
