You're the third person on the trail that I've watched to mention the pack coming apart like that. I think zpacks may have an issue on their hands.
@spectrum103 жыл бұрын
The ice cream used to come in half gallon containers. They reduced them to 1.5 quarts, so you need to add a pint container to make it a half gallon. A lot of ice cream manufactured today is actually what used to be called 'ice milk', but they relaxed the standards and allowed them to call it ice cream when it's actually not.

Ever notice that many foods are not sold by the pound anymore ? A lot are 11 or 12 oz (3/4 lb). Quantity went down, quality went down and prices went up. Research candy bars and the same thing was done to those. Only thing that rose is serving size was sodas, that I know of.

Problem still exists as Taylor has the Air. They still haven't solved the problem, apparently. (I tried to go back and find out which one QS said he had but haven't gone back far enough yet).

I can remember students in college splurging on ice cream when they didn't like the food that was being served in the cafeteria on a particular day
@djg59503 жыл бұрын
Ha ha ! If what was served for the day sucked we bought a couple of ice cream sandwiches with the money. My mother usually packed our lunches. I remember always asking her for money for lunch when they had hot dogs (grilled on a toasted bun) or fish sticks. The fish sticks went the crappy processed ones they had after the 70's. My mother worked in the elementary school cafe starting in 1964 and she said understood why we didn't like the school lunches. She also said that the fish sticks were hand cut pieces of haddock and breaded by the employees. Still wish I knew what the breading was (not corn meal) so I could make them. They were delicious. Nothing like that exists today.

How do you pronounce your surname? Now that you shared it, I am really curious as it is not Smith or similar. Around here, we would use an Italian approach like for "gnocchi" but our neighbours up north always use a German approach, like for Michelin (tire brand). Was this the original half gallon place? If yes, they changed the brand of their ice cream, probably it is better now but I still would prefer Mövenpick - which comes in much smaller portions.
