I have done all 7 days each week 4 weeks now. This one (day7) has been a real challenge for me; my mind gets invaded with all sorts of mental clutter. Overall though the programme is getting easier and I do feel that I am making some progress. I will carry on with the sessions as well as dipping in to others. I am looking to a long term result where I hope to be finding meditation easier. I shall not give up!!! Thanks Dr Ben and best wishes to all tinnitus folk everywhere. Stay positive. Dont fight it like an opponent , work on your feelings and stress levels and remember some days will be worse than others. Look at positive stories and reports, NOT scary stuff. Alan, U.K.

Wow. About 10 years ago I tried meditation with my tinnitus. I gave up. I found that it made me more anxious because I thought the whole idea was to get to a place where I couldn't hear the tinnitus while meditating . . . which was very difficult to do. You have solved the problem for me with your approach. I now have confidence I can meditate effectively while having bad tinnitus. That's a breakthrough for me and I really appreciate your on-line presence.

Once I completed this I keep going back to number seven every night. So many meditation videos have people with voices that I don't feel are conducive to meditation, but Dr Ben is pleasant to listen to. I've also come to regard him as the first person I found online who was telling me what I needed to hear and trust. You're a gentleman sir. Here's to yourself and your team, particularly Dr Poindexter who was so kind to me today and willing to go out of her way to help me. I know you're running a business but a teacher has to be paid and your hearts are so obviously in your work, you deserve every success. With my kindest regards❤

@@treblehealth Thank you! Ive read numerous stories about peoples tinnitus going away after getting their wisdom teeth removed. Some people even claim that their tinnitus started shortly after their wisdom teeth were removed. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

@@bw655 TMJ problems can cause trigeminal nerve to be hyperactive which can cause tinnitus if there is (even slight) hearing loss. Susan Shore device is aimed to eliminating somatic tinnitus.
@bw6553 жыл бұрын
@@sanelprtenjaca9776 So you're saying that TMJ problems can cause temporary hearing loss which can cause tinnitus? I have had tinnitus for several months and just recently thought that maybe my impacted wisdom teeth are the culprit. I am thinking of getting them removed.
@sanelprtenjaca97763 жыл бұрын
@@bw655 It's unlikely that TMD alone can cause sensorineural hearing loss. But here comes important part of this horror story: TMD and jaw problems can irritate nerves in the head and neck, and now, *if* there is some degree of hearing loss, typically from loud noise or music, *then* hyperactive trigeminal nerve actually can cause rewiring in the dorsal cochlear nucleus, which is first part of the brain connected with sound proccesing. Thus, it can cause tinnitus. (There are two pathways to the dorsal cochlear nucleus, auditory and somatosensory.) I have chronic jaw and and neck pain because my facial nerves were and are irritated by TMD and they become more and more hyperacitve with time. I developed tinnitus practically in the same time as TMJ pain. It's very, very somatic. So, there is 99.99% chance you have some degree of hearing loss (of course, almost everybody has but it's tiny and so tinnitus sound is neglictible). But, there might be also somatic problem, like muscle tension for example, which causes hyperactivity in facial nerves. Solving TMD and neck problems can help reduce that hyperactivity. Give it a try. And yes, many people have "normal" (non-somatic) tinnitus with some layer of somatic component. That's why Susan Shore device help people that haven't somatic abnormalities. So, it's really % of hyperacitivity caused by hearing loss alone and hyperactivity caused by somatic problem, if there is one. Every chronic non-somatic tinnitus will be cured when they develop cure for hearing loss. If not, nothing will shut up this beast.

Hi Doctor i have a question ,is it normal if my tinnitus comes with dizziness or it's a warning?????
@bw6553 жыл бұрын
You should get an MRI immediately if you have not got one already. If you are unaware of the cause of your tinnitus, a CT scan may also prove useful. Bring this up to your doctor.

The tinnitus sound(s) that each individual hears is different from person to person.
@sanelprtenjaca97763 жыл бұрын
Dr. Ben I read pretty much everything about hearing loss, tinnitus and conncetion with somatosensory system, but I can't accept it... I just got diagnosed with TMD so I'll try wearing TMJ splint in hope my muscle pain and tinnitus goes away. But of course, there is pretty good chance that I would have to live with some % of it for the rest of my life. As you can see, I cannot relax and live with this condition, it's just so unhuman. I can spend all the time just thinking how to help myself without any progress. Pure mental agony.
